Charleroi was chosen as the "ugliest city in the world" by a Dutch newspaper poll in 2008. What better place to hunt for some rusty worn metal textures? In reality, while all these decaying factories were within walking distance of the city centre, I found the city itself quite charming and will definitely go back there to check for example their comic book shops. I followed an "urban exploring tour". I don't recommend going to abandoned factories by yourself.
