To celebrateDragon AgeDay, BioWare has not only released a new patch forDragon Age: The Veilguardthat adds cosmetics based onDragon Age 2protagonist Hawke, the studio has also taken a step that many had hoped it would prior to the action RPGs launch earlier this year.Prior to release, there were questions about whetherThe Veilguardscharacter creator will be made available on its own to everyone for free, similar to whatDragons Dogma 2did earlier this year, and though BioWare and EA didnt take that step pre-launch, they are doing so now.In a blog post, BioWare has confirmed that the character creator is now available standalone for free and features zero limits, which means you get to use its full and extensive creation and customization toolsets to your hearts content. Once youre done, youll also be able to carry over the Rook youve created into the full game (but only on the same platform).Dragon Age: The Veilguardis available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2Remasteredis promising visually enhanced versions of Crystal Dynamics acclaimed classics, which in and of itself is an alluring enough offer for many, but it will, of course, feature bonus content on top of that as well. In a PlayStation Blog post, the remasters developer Aspyr has shared new details on what to expect on that front.Chief among the remasters bonus additions will, of course, be the four Lost Levels that will allow players to explore areas that were cut from the originalSoul Reaver. Beyond that, however, you can also expect a new Lore Reader, which will feature new maps poetic descriptions of places and events that have been created in collaboration with the Legacy of Kain Fandom leaders, key community members, and Crystal Dynamics artists. Each map will also allow players to toggle between its pure and corrupted versions.The remaster will also feature a Galleries section, which will include new and classic HD renders, enhanced versions of the original games FMV cinematics, concept art for players to peruse, and the original credits, demo videos, and outtakes. Theres also a Dark Chronicles section, which will tout a a concise, text-based version of both games scripts in their entirety.Finally, the soundtracks of both original games will also be included. In addition to the original duologys music, you can also expect a couple of new compositions, including the likes of Priestess Encounter and Spirit Forge.Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 Remasteredis due out for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on December 10.
