As I said a few years ago ELON CLIPS:Elon Musk, 2.5 years ago:Victory [for ] would be that the most far-right 10% and the most far-left 10% are equally upset.I don't think this is a situation where you're going to get necessarily a lot of praise. You're just going to balance the anger.

  • D&D 5e Is Fully Represented In Solasta 2, For Better And Worse
    www.gamespot.com
Solasta: Crown of the Magister, a D&D-inspired game that closely follows the rules of the tabletop game's fifth edition, evidently released too soon. The 2021 RPG released to favorable reviews but didn't break into the mainstream. But now we live in a post-Baldur's Gate 3 world, which rocked the gaming industry (GameSpot named it our Game of the Year in 2023), and dice-based games are getting a spotlight they previously didn't have. Solasta II is launching into a far more favorable position than its predecessor, and feels like it could be a great game for folks who enjoyed Baldur's Gate 3 but now want a game that more closely aligns with the experience of playing Dungeons & Dragons.I played about an hour of Solasta II and the most striking part of the demo was how closely the game more strictly sticks to the parameters of D&D 5e in comparison to a game like Baldur's Gate 3. You can't, for example, drink a health potion and melee attack on the same turn. Baldur's Gate 3 adopts the commonly homebrewed rule (and now official rule in the latest edition of D&D) that considers drinking a health potion to be a bonus action and not an action, so you could reserve your action to attack and then use your bonus action to heal on the same turn. That's not how it works in the rules for D&D 5e, so that's not how it works in Solasta II. This parallel seems to extend across Solasta II and although I appreciate the accuracy, it does highlight some of the problems with D&D 5e that games like Baldur's Gate 3 have already circumnavigated by outright changing how they work.Different members of the party will want to solve problems differently and sometimes have unique skill checks.Ignoring the comparisons to Baldur's Gate 3, the combat otherwise feels great. Figuring out when to use my Rogue's unique cunning action ability to bonus action dash so I can save her main action to attack an enemy being flanked by the Fighter (a scenario that lets me add sneak attack damage!) felt awesome. I was repeatedly rewarded for thinking things through before engaging a target. Knowing when and how to use resources is paramount as Solasta II tracks ammunition (so I had to keep count of how many arrows my short bow-wielding sorcerer had on him, for example), and there even seems to be a risk-versus-reward consideration tied to the rest mechanic, as the first time I tried to camp to regain health and recharge the party's abilities, one of the members of the party cryptically warned that doing so might cause enough time to pass, meaning I'd potentially miss out on future storylines. That added a sense of urgency to what seemed to be an optional quest in the demo, but I'm curious to see if this same feeling is applied to portions of the main storyline as well and how often resting might cause a player to miss out on a quest.Continue Reading at GameSpot

  • Black Ops 6: Best Sniper Loadouts
    gamerant.com
Although Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may not have a wide variety of Sniper Rifles, the ones available are exceptionally powerful, making them essential for players who want to dominate long-range engagements while staying out of enemy sight. Their effectiveness allows players to secure kills consistently, support their team from a distance, and control enemy movements without being easily detected.

  • TLoU HBO Show Tugs a Tight Leash on Naughty Dogs Upcoming Part 3
    gamerant.com
While Uncharted concluded with a couple of white-hot bangsA Thiefs End and Lost Legacyduring its heyday, The Last of Us has arguably been Naughty Dogs crown jewel for the past two decades. Its endlessly ironic and interesting that The Last of Us has been so revered and beloved with only two installments to its name and, even with it supposedly concluding at some point with a third game, its popularity has never been greater and will probably continue to blossom as seasons of HBOs show are doled out. The Last of Us HBO show adapted Part 1however looselyin Season 1, but as far as whats known for Season 2 its approach to an adaptation of Part 2 will be nowhere near as simple.

  • What were listening to: Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, FKA twigs and more
    www.engadget.com
In What Were Listening To, Engadget editors and writers discuss the new music we cant get enough of.Bad Bunny - DeB TiRAR MS FOToSYou dont need me to tell you to go listen to Bad Bunnys DeB TiRAR MS FOToS if youre on the internet enough, youve been told to do so already. But Ill add to the pile-on and say that this is Bad Bunnys most personal work yet. It showcases how modern pop, rap and R&B can be seamlessly combined with old-school, traditional sounds from different cultures (in this case, Puerto Rico) in a way that celebrates both camps. Bad Bunny has always been deeply connected to his island home and its come through in his music, but DTMF is on a whole other level. For me, there are no skips on this album but if youre going to listen to just one song, make it the salsa hit BAILE INoLVIDABLE. Aside from that, my favorites are NUEVAYoL (if you live in the five boroughs, be prepared to hear this all summer long), KETU TeCR, CAF CON RON and EoO. Valentina Palladino, Deputy Editor, Buying AdviceThe Weeknd - Hurry Up TomorrowThe Weeknd is certainly going out with a bang with Hurry Up Tomorrow. Supposedly the pop stars final record under his current pseudonym, Hurry Up Tomorrow also completes the trilogy that started with 2020s After Hours and continued with 2022s Dawn FM. Its a massive (literally, at 22 tracks), cinematic album that serves as The Weeknds magnus opus, and without a doubt, his most personal project yet. His attitudes toward fame, legacy, suicide, past substance abuse, the fear of being alone and much more are all laid bare for listeners to hear, but in typical Weeknd fashion, he disguises it all in moody synths, thumping bass and top-tier vocals. The first things I noticed during my initial listen were the transitions: theyre beyond smooth on this album, and theyre one of the reasons why the first five tracks make up one of the most energizing sequences Ive heard start an album recently. Id personally extend that to include the next two tracks, the final of which is Open Hearts, a song thats cut from a similar cloth as Blinding Lights and will, no doubt, be a standout single from the record. My other top tracks are Wake Me Up, Cry for Me, So Paulo, and Niagara Falls. V.P.FKA twigs - EUSEXUAFKA twigs is truly in a league of her own. Ive been mentally prepared to be changed by the new album ever since she released the genuinely jaw-dropping Eusexua music video back in September (which features two tracks, Drums of Death and Eusexua), but its even more magnificent than I was ready for. FKA twigs has described the state of eusexua as pure presence. It's a moment of nothingness. Or it's the moment before a really incredible idea it's this ego-less presence which is just filled with this kind of tingling clarity. Call me corny, but listening to this album is a spiritual experience every time.Eusexua ebbs and flows over the course of its 11 tracks, starting out almost angelic with the title track before transporting you right onto a throbbing, disorienting club dance floor with Drums of Death and Room of Fools, then back down to a softer, emotionally raw place with Sticky. Childlike Things feels like the onset of unexpected joy, almost out of place in between Keep It, Hold It and Striptease but in a way thats really grown on me.Perfect Stranger, toward the beginning, and the penultimate song 24hr Dog almost feel like two sides of the same coin, the latter hitting like the vulnerable comedown from the former. I love every song on this album, but I especially cant stop listening to Girl Feels Good, which sounds like its been transplanted into 2025 from the 90s and hits me in just the right way. Eusexua has kind of taken over my personality for the time being. Cheyenne MacDonald, Weekend EditorHonorable mentions: A bunch of singles have come out lately that have me so hyped for albums were going to see later this winter and spring. Im apologizing in advance for the person Ill become when Lady Gagas Mayhem drops, because Abracadabra has reawakened something in me. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Ive been obsessively listening to Bria Salmenas brooding indie track, Stretch the Struggle, ahead of her debut albums release at the end of March, along with Sugar in the Tank by Julien Baker and Torres, who have a country-leaning collaboration album coming out in April that I cannot wait for. All of the new SZA from SOS Deluxe: Lana (Deluxe?) has been a real treat too.
