Last Thursday, Nintendo finally revealed the long-awaited successor to the Nintendo Switch the Nintendo Switch 2 following months of leaks and fervent rumors. As you can imagine, theres been a lot of speculation about Nintendos upcoming console, from hardware specs and pricing to suspected launch titles and comparisons to Valves Steam Deck. One question in particular has pundits and Nintendo fans especially perplexed: What the heck is up with that so-called C button on the Switch 2 Joy-Cons?We likely wont have any hard answers to any of these questions until the Switch 2-focused Nintendo Direct scheduled for April. But that doesnt mean we cant speculate! We put our heads together and came up with a list of what we think the button is for and what we hope the button is for.
