Impressive Aging Mechanism In This Indie WIP Life Simulator

Indie game developer SoloGrooveGames has shared a clip showing impressive mechanisms for how characters age continuously in their WIP life simulator, temporarily named Lima Springs.

In this game, you’ll be able to drag and adjust the basics of the character, changing from youthful to mature, lean and stocky, feminine and masculine. The details that players will be experiencing are pretty impressive, as the character’s appearance changes accordingly, becoming short, tall, skinny, strong, turning gray, and wrinkles starting to appear, et cetera. You can further edit a specific area on the head, like eyebrows, hairs, cheek, or eyes, to change their properties. The transitions between different states are quite smooth.

This project appears to be utilizing Unreal Engine, and SoloGrooveGames has indicated that it will be similar to The Sims, “but more focused on daily routines & habits and less about micro management of needs and such.” The project is still in the early development period, though. So far, we have found only this clip to show its gameplay.

Currently, the developer is working on setting up a Steam page with its official new title that is yet to be disclosed.
