Stunning Detailed 3D Village Made with Procedural Tree System

3D environment generalist Che Hsuan Tsao presented a gorgeous village scene full of lush greenery and small houses.

You can almost see the story behind each building and every tree, even though this is the artist’s first fully grass-covered environment. The town was created using Gaea, SpeedTree, and Maya, using a procedural system for trees and fields Tsao built to create a natural and cohesive look.

The atmosphere was achieved thanks to the help of artist Pei Chueh Wu, who did the digital matte painting and composition.

Che Hsuan Tsao has wowed us before with a similar English village project and a fantastic post-apocalyptic scene. You can find more on ArtStation if you’re interested.
