Elden Ring Nightreign Is Coming This May & Network Test Starts Soon

Bandai Namco just announced that Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game that was announced during The Game Awards 2024, will be released on May 30.

A large-scale network stress test, “designed to various aspects of the online system’s functionality and performance,” will be conducted on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this weekend. Registered players can join the test for three hours each day from February 14 to 17 when it is open.

If you’re one of those who will be taking the Network Test, it would be a good idea to check out this official Starter Guide. It offers detailed game information, including UI panels, controls, game basics, fighting enemies, functional areas, and more.

You can preorder the game on all of its launch platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The basic game costs $40, and the Deluxe Edition is $10 more and includes additional playable characters and bosses, a digital artbook, and a mini soundtrack, as well as a planned DLC with playable characters and bosses that’ll be released in Q4 this year.

Earlier this month, FromSoftware denied the theory that the company was just trying to chase after the popular multiplayer genre with Nightreign. It’s teased that with the new mechanics and elements, players will achieve a “new sense of accomplishment that you wouldn’t quite find with Elden Ring or our previous titles.”
