Junior Houdini FX TD Oğuzhan Özcan has demonstrated a cool effect on his favorite sniper rifle, featuring three distinct simulations: particle, pyro, and vellum. The scene was rendered in Solaris and then composited in Nuke.
Check out his previous Houdini work, where he utilized mathematical functions to simulate the real aerodynamics of a F1 car. In this project, particles were used to mimic the behavior of wind, visually representing the car’s aerodynamics:
