The Latest Title In Horror Franchise BrokenLore Is Coming Soon

Japanese game development studio Serafini Productions has been working on the horror game franchise BrokenLore. In January, the first game, BrokenLore: LOW, was released to very positive reviews. Recently, they’ve announced some amazing news — the next game from the franchise, which is called BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH, will be released in April.

Staying true to the franchise’s core to combine horror experiences with Japanese culture, this upcoming first-person psychological horror makes you play Shinji, a young hikikomori trapped in his 10-square-meter Tokyo apartment. The anxiety grows rapidly as you are isolated from family and the world while having to face mounting unpaid bills. The only way to “connect” to the outer world is through your PC, which is not guaranteed to be safe.

The unveil trailer that was shared last December gives us a chance to look at Shinji’s lonely life. Occasionally, you’ll be seeing some eyeball coming out of the wall and poking it to let the pustule break. Everyone trying to approach you, whom you can see via the peephole, seems to be cursed. And even the room feels haunted. “You’ll explore Shinji’s mind as it unravels, but be cautious. Hyakume, a malevolent entity with a hundred eyes, is watching, waiting for the right moment to strike,” the game description reads.
Due to a small incident, which is actually exciting news that would benefit the franchise, the release date of BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH has been slightly postponed to April 25. If you’re a big fan of horror titles, don’t hesitate to download the game’s demo from Steam and add it to your wishlist.
