Take a Look at This Retro-Inspired Stylized Gundam Crafted Using Blender

Designer and Visual Artist Miguel Rodriguez, renowned for his retro-style animations with noir and neo-noir aesthetics made with Blender, unveiled a new artwork crafted with his distinct artistic style within the said software.

The artist presented a recreation of the RX-78-2 Gundam, the legendary mobile suit from the classic 1979 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. Rather than following the original design, Miguel Rodriguez gave the character a vivid retro-inspired look, incorporating graphics reminiscent of comic book illustrations in three-dimensional visualization and creating a nostalgia-provoking image of the mech.

According to Miguel Rodriguez, the take was crafted in Blender with color grading in DaVinci Resolve. The artist shared a tutorial on creating the image on Patreon.
