Directed by Ridley Scott and starring Orlando Bloom, Eva Green, and Liam Neeson, Kingdom of Heaven had plenty of buzz surrounding its release in 2005. It didn’t quite earn critical acclaim, but it managed to earn generally favorable reviews and gross over $218 million worldwide, making it a massive box office success. $56 | Releases May 27
This 3-disc collection includes a beautiful steelbook featuring masks and weapons from the movie. You’ll get 4K Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray formats of the Director’s Cut: Roadshow Version and Director’s Cut. The only real difference between the two is the inclusion of an intermission and overture on the Roadshow Version. You’ll also find heaps of bonus features packed into the trio of discs.
Preordering at Amazon or Walmart means you won’t be charged until the steelbook ships, and you’ll be eligible for any discounts between now and May 27.
As of April 17, Walmart is sold out of preorders priced at $40. We’d expect Amazon’s price to drop to match once Walmart restocks preorders.

The Kingdom of Heaven Director’s Cut adds around 45 minutes of new content–so even if you’ve seen the original a thousand times, you’ll find the director’s cut to be worth a watch. The additional minutes expand on the story of Balian (Orlando Bloom) as he joins his father, Baron Godfrey (Liam Neeson), during the crusaders’ trek toward Jerusalem. It’s an action-packed film with a good dose of political intrigue–and the expanded director’s cut is often cited as the best version of its nuanced story.
If you want to add more Ridley Scott films to your collection, here’s a look at some additional 4K Blu-rays up for grabs.
