Action Sandbox Deliver At All Costs is Now Fully Destructible

Developer Far Out Games continues working on Deliver At All Costs, an upcoming action-packed sandbox game with a 1950s aesthetic where you take on the role of Winston Green, a courier delivering unconventional cargo and leaving a trail of havoc and chaos behind, recently announcing that it is now possible to destroy everything on the map.

While the ability to obliterate objects and buildings has been a standout feature of Deliver At All Costs since its inception, the team has only recently achieved the feat of making absolutely everything destructible. Daniel Nielsen, the Founder of Far Out Games, explained in his statement that it took three years of development and numerous clever optimizations by Technical Director Jonatan Johansson to make destruction on this scale possible. Nielsen also noted that the freedom for players to plow through everything introduced a game design challenge, making it more difficult for the team to guide players along specific paths during missions.

“It’s all been worth it now that we’ve finally arrived at our destination,” says the developer. “It’s just so much fun driving around and watching everything crumble. Even as the developers of the game, it’s hard to get work done because we often find ourselves saying, ‘Just one more minute of chaos, and then I’ll continue working.’ I believe this level of freedom will stick in players’ minds, and I also think they’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much more there is to the game than just destruction.

DAAC is set to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with Konami acting as its publisher. While the release date is still unknown, you can already add it to your wishlist and learn more about the development team behind it by watching the first episode of Far Out Games’ dev diary:
