Reddit user puchik, i.e., game developer Arman Elgudzhyan, has published his very first UE5 solo project named Bulk in the Future. It is a third-person, action-adventure game set in a vast open world with rich destruction and interactions to try out.
Your spaceship has brought you to an unknown, mysterious, earth-like land. Take advantage of the resources available in the surroundings to survive and find your way back home. Explore beautiful flora, break a bunch of things, learn about nutrition (the developer mentioned that you can eat rocks in this game, and that might be a way to absorb unique nutrition), and get ready to encounter a surprising ending.
Developer Arman Elgudzhyan aims to push UE5’s features, like “the destruction system, trees with actual individual leaves (and thus Nanite), new animation systems, and procedural generation.” The focus was on CPU work, and the game was tested to be able to run at 50- 60 fps on Steam Deck on Medium and FSR Quality.

You’ll be able to explore “20km² playable area, 64km² landscape, and 500+km² of visible area on a sunny day.” The project offers around 20 minutes of gameplay, which could be a perfect game to try while taking a break, and you can download it for free from itch.io.
