Project Mojave, a mod for Fallout 4, which aimed to remake some of the areas from Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4, has been stopped and put in an indefinite state.
On November 22, the user WolfeMan2077 published Project Mojave Revitalization Dev Release And Resource on Nexus Mods, stating the end of the project’s development: “It’s been a long road, but I think this might be the end of it, thanks to everyone who supported me during the release and development of the mod, I love you all, truly, thank you.”
Also, one of the mod’s creators, TheFriedturkey, wrote “Former Project Lead on Project Mojave” in the profile’s bio on Nexus mods.
The information about the development’s halt was also confirmed on the mod’s Discord channel. On November 24, DylanF1, Implementation Lead and Recruiter for Fallout 4: Capital Wasteland, wrote that the project had been stopped. However, the developer stated that it had not been canceled but put in a “dormant” state for several years since some of its creators had quit working on it.
The full comment reads as follows:
“It’s not canceled. It just hasn’t been worked on by the team since Turkey and Grill left. So it’s sat dormant for a couple years. Wolfe’s Project Mojave Revitalization mod was cancelled/ put on indefinite hiatus.”
Project Mojave was released in early access in 2021 and hasn’t seen any updates since then. The mod aimed at recreating the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout 4’s engine. Currently, there’s a 2.5 version of the project, which includes four new worldspaces, armors, dungeons, soundtrack, as well as contains edits to existing works to improve the Nexus release and new workshop items.

Recently, another mod for the beloved Bethesda games, Fallout: Vault 13, a fan recreation of the first game in the series with the graphics and engine of Fallout 4, was suspended after the successful demo.
