Gigantic Tsunami-Like Wave Animation Made with Houdini


3D Artist Vu Pham, renowned for amazing water simulations, unveiled a new incredible project with a visualization of enormous, tsunami-like waves.

Similar to the previously shared outstanding Vu Pham’s works, the setup was made using Houdini. The artist showcased a video with the animation briefly describing the steps of creating the scene. According to the creator, the goal was to demonstrate the destruction of heavy structures and create a large-scale water setup.

Vu Pham shared that the project was completed within two days: one day for sculpting water FX and solving the PDG wrangle solution and the other day for shooting the breeze.
