GTA 6’s 2nd Trailer Might Not Arrive Anytime Soon, According to Take-Two’s Boss

While you might laugh at the news that the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer is dropping soon, based on fans’ so-called moon theory or a number that appears in Rockstar’s social media messages, it seems very likely that another trailer will be released before the game’s official launch.

Maybe the developer doesn’t want to see the community guess or speculate so badly so players can save up the energy to a proper timeframe, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick finally gives us a window as to when it might arrive. It sounds like before its fall release, we could move our eyes away from those “hints” and relax a little bit.

In an interview with Wall Street Week, posted on Bloomberg Television’s YouTube channel, Strauss Zelnick opened up about this topic to discuss the company’s marketing strategy:

“We want to maintain the anticipation and the excitement. And we do have competitors who will describe their release schedule for years in advance. And we found that the better thing to do is to provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window in order to create that excitement on the one hand and balance the excitement with unmet anticipation. We don’t always get it exactly right, but that’s what we trying to do.”

As an entertainment veteran who has “been in every entertainment business there is,” Zelnick said that the anticipation for GTA 6 was “the greatest” he has ever seen.

Take-Two has previously confirmed a few times that GTA 6 is still on track for a Fall 2025 release. It is rumored that the game costs Rockstar between $1 and $2 billion, which could make it the most expensive video game in history, and also might cost as much as $100
