Isaac loves a good frying pan.

In the newest episode of HBO’s The Last of Us, Jeffrey Wright’s character, Isaac, tortures a prisoner with a frying pan by burning his captor’s hand with it. But it’s not just any frying pan–it’s a Mauviel.

This is a very high-end cookware company founded in France back in 1830. Isaac gives a tense monologue to the prisoner, a Seraphite/Scar, telling him he struggled talking to women but was good at cooking so he would prepare food to impress his dates.

He says he was good enough to use quality tools but didn’t have the money. So he would go to Williams Sonoma stores and stare at Mauviel cookware, dreaming of one day–long into the future–being able to afford a Mauviel saucepan. In the end, Isaac was right, “just not how I planned.”

He’s referring to the world falling apart due to the fungus, which allowed him and his W.L.F. soldiers to take over a facility with a kitchen that has an entire Mauviel set.

“The strange benefits of the apocalypse,” Isaac says.

He also notes that the Mauviel cookware in his post-apocalyptic kitchen is made of copper, not cast iron, which doesn’t retain heat as well, making it less-than-ideal for torturing someone with. But Isaac notes, “If you own Mauviel, you use Mauviel.”

How much does a Mauviel cost? If we’re going by Williams Sonoma, the retailer that Isaac referenced, you can expect to pay around $3,000 for a 15-piece set. Individual frying pans start at around $200.

There are three episodes left in The Last of Us Season 2, but fans needn’t worry, as HBO has already announced Season 3. New episodes of The Last of Us air Sunday nights at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET on HBO and Max.
