Jesse Miettinen Demonstrated His Geometry Nodes Tools Made for Pwnisher’s Latest Challenge

Jesse Miettinen, also known as Blenderesse, a well-known Blender master, has showcased the tools he used for his submission to Clinton “Pwnisher” Jones’s latest Chasm’s Call challenge.

He utilized a lot of automatization help he created with Geometry Nodes, including stacking ropes, automated seams, damage painting, a curve deformator, and several generators for bridges, wooden meshes, platforms, lianas, and birds.

“This project gave me some new ideas for tools I might need in the future. One of them being the automations of seams in cloth modifier. It´s very much manual work in current state but I managed to mostly automated the process so you can skip the time consuming parts. Half of the stuff here is basic procedural stuff the other half a bit more advanced and somewhat work in progress,” he said.

Miettinen has tons of fantastic add-ons to make an artist’s life so much easier: one for connecting seams, another that adds zippers, straps, buckles, and wrinkles, a tool that applies procedural damage, procedural birch tree generator, a rain effect, and more. The best part is he made his Blender add-ons available for free.
