Monster Hunter Producer Gets Promoted to Chief Product Officer at Capcom

CAPCOM, the developer of the recently released Monster Hunter Wilds, announced some changes in the management responsibilities of directors and changes in corporate officers, which will come into force on April 1.

Monster Hunter series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto gets promoted to Executive Corporate Officer and Chief Product Officer. In this new position, Tsujimoto will be in charge of the Development Divisions. Ryozo Tsujimoto has been working at CAPCOM since 1996 after joining the company as a graduate and initially worked on arcade games.

Yoichi Egawa, who currently assumes the role of Executive Corporate Officer and Chief Product Officer, will resign from these positions and continue to serve on the company’s board of directors. The Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Deputy in charge of Corporate Management, Kenkichi Nomura, will also step down from these roles and continue to serve as a Director.

The highly anticipated RPG Monster Hunter Wilds, released on February 28, successfully launched to almost one million concurrent players on Steam and became the eighth most-played game on Steam of all time.
