Mysterious Messages Transmitted in Morse Code in Silent Hill 2 Remake Solved

Bloober Team

Many fans have enjoyed the sound design in the Silent Hill 2 remake, which enhances the overall immersion of the survival horror. Well, it turned out to have more functions than that, as recently, players have decoded some messages delivered from the developer, Bloober Team, via some inconspicuous sounds.

YouTuber Shiba shared two findings regarding the TV messages in the game, which have been transmitted in Morse code. Same as usual, the content below might contain slight spoilers.

The first message was from the TV in the cafeteria. According to Shiba, the TV in the nurses’ lounge also shows the same. Notably, the clicking sound is almost covered by the static from the TV, so it is quite easy to ignore; however, once the volume has increased, it is clear enough to be heard.

The Morse codes here can be translated as “AGAIN AND” and repeats itself unlimitedly. Before you click the play button on the video below, here is a kind reminder: the volume of the video suddenly increased around the 20-second mark, so get yourself ready for that when you listen carefully to the clicks and do not be frightened by it like I was.

Following this finding, the fan also managed to decode another message played on the TV in Secret Woodside Apartments. This one says, “WHY DID YOU DO IT JAMES?”

Earlier this month, a player managed to solve the secrets with Polaroid photos scattered around and uncovered what the Bloober Team wanted to say through them.
