Ninja Gaiden fans are in heaven now, as during today’s Xbox Developer Direct, it was announced that Team Ninja and Nier: Automata developer PlatinumGames are working on the next mainline title in the beloved action-adventure franchise.
The announcement trailer of the Ninja Gaiden 3’s sequel is nothing short of gore and beat ‘em up, and the high difficulty level of the series continues, which will bring an unparalleled level of sense of achievement in return. “Embark on a cutting-edge adventure where legacy meets innovation in a high-octane blend of style and no-holds-barred combat,” the description reads.
Best of all, the wait won’t be long because it will be released this fall on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC and will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Alongside this surprising, great news is the shadow drop of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which is a UE5 remaster of the 2008 Ninja Gaiden II and will “elevate everything from character visuals to environmental backgrounds.” It’s already out on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC and would be free for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. So before Ninja Gaiden 4 is available, fans could retrieve that authentic experience the franchise offers by diving into the remaster.
