BioWare
BioWare has no plans to release an expansion for the recently launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Bioware Creative Director John Epler confirmed that in a recent interview. He shard that the studio’s plans include working on a new Mass Effect as their current project. Epler didn’t go into further detail on the developers’ plans. This is a new approach for the studio, as previous games of the Dragon Age franchise were provided with DLCs from the developers. For instance, the previous installment, Dragon Age: Inquisition, had three expansions: Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent, and Trespasser.
Epler also said that he would love to see a collection of the first Dragon Age games, one like the Mass Effect Legendary Collection that provided updates of the games for consoles in 2021. However, he thinks that remastering the first three games would be challenging as they were created in EA’s proprietary game engines, Eclipse and Frostbite.
