SuperSplat, the free open-source 3D Gaussian Splat editor by Will Eastcott, has been updated to version 2.0, featuring some major changes, including a new domain address, which can now be found here.
Recently, a new feature was added to the SuperSplat Editor, allowing users to export an HTML viewer of their splats. Previously, hosting the viewer was the user’s responsibility, but now SuperSplat simplifies sharing your creations with others, eliminating the need to host a website yourself. Just click Publish, and your splat will be live on the web with a shareable URL.
SuperSplat Editor 2.0 also introduces Timeline, making it easy to create smooth camera animations. To create a seamless flythrough, select a frame, position the camera, set a keyframe, and repeat for as many frames as needed.
To support the growing complexity of your splat projects, SuperSplat now includes a new project file format. You can save your work between sessions with the .ssproj file extension. Also, with the ability to publish splats to the web, you can now browse works from creators across the world and view splats in immersive AR and VR modes.
