Player Turned PlayStation 1 into Fully Working PC

We’ve seen plenty of gadgets turned into consoles, handheld or otherwise, but a whole computer? That’s a first, I think.

Reddit user Ayucrabby achieved a truly impressive feat by rebuilding their PlayStation 1 into a functional PC for their son. The creation was done “with a rotary tool, hand tools, napkin maths and a lot gamble and improvisation,” the maker said.

The PC boasts Gigabyte A520i-Dash DC, Ryzen 5700x with 2 sticks of 16G memory, Lexar NM790 for 2TB, a 4060 GPU, and a 40mm fan on NVMe.

Ayucrabby says that the PC gets to 70-85 degrees when playing and feels like a gaming laptop. The crazy thing is that this was their first-ever PC build, and it was finished in less than a month, planning included. I’d say this is huge, and hopefully, Ayucrabby’s son was happy with the present.

Unfortunately, there is no video of the process, but you can see more photos on Reddit.
