If I ever had a magic power or potion to try out, I would love to explore our world through the eyes of small creatures. Similar to the experience of playing as a cat in Stray, that would help me view our world and daily surroundings in a completely refreshed view.
In Hela, a third-person open-world adventure game inspired by Scandinavian folklore, players will explore stunning and photorealistic environments from the perspective of a brave mouse. You’ll take on a journey to gather the ingredients needed to brew magical potions that can heal a kind witch who has been helping the local community but now gets sick.
The magic frog pack is your great companion. It can turn into a small jet that powers up your flight or stretches out an elastic rope with which you can climb to higher places, pull out and remove blockers, swing as you glide through the air, or hook to a hare to surf and move much faster.
As exploration and discovery are the core gameplay, you can piece together fragments of Hela’s heartwarming story as you travel around. The more you explore, the more story pieces you can find.

The game supports co-op mode, so you can invite friends to join the journey via local split-screen multiplayer or online co-op and traverse a vast range of dynamic environments with rich biomes, from rugged mountain trails through magical forests that are decorated with scattered flowers to tranquil lakes and solve puzzles together.
The game’s developer, Windup Games, is a game studio based in Umeå, in northern Sweden; no wonder they are capable of bringing these authentic and stunning Scandinavian landscapes into the game. It wouldn’t be exaggerated to call this game a cuteness-overloaded one. Just look at how this little hare trying to sniff a dandelion:
