Skyrim Players Are Having Heated Discussion about Human Flesh Over Decade after Its Release

Bethesda

Skyrim is 14 this year, but it still occupies players’ minds, and this is a testament to how great the game is. With most common questions discussed in the past, fans still manage to find interesting titbits.

For instance, Redditor AeronGrey has started a post called “We need to talk about human flesh,” and over 6,000 people upvoted it, meaning thousands of Reddit users have spent some time thinking about human flesh for a while. It sounds bizarre and a little alarming, but it’s not that weird actually.

AeronGrey wonders which part of a person the piece of meat is, and players mostly agree on a rib, glute, or – most likely – a shoulder. Whatever it is, interestingly, the chunk is almost identical to the raw meat asset in the game. Will it help us understand what cut this is? I don’t know, but it shows another example of asset reuse.

I doubt it’s surprising Bethesda decided not to create a whole new object for human flesh, but hopefully, AeronGrey found the answer they wanted.

In any case, this unusual post united Skyrim lovers once again, proving that good games never get old. We’ll see if Bethesda still has what it takes when The Elder Scrolls 6 launches sometime next year or later. Todd Howard promises another adventure that people could play for “a decade, two decades.”
