Sony Santa Monica Is Hiring QA Testers for Its PlayStation 5 Project

Santa Monica Studio

Sony Santa Monica, the company behind the God of War series, is hiring QA professionals for its PlayStation 5 project.

According to the studio’s LinkedIn page, the developer hires a QA Senior Analyst and a QA Lead “to support our internal projects on the PS5 platform.” The jobs are contract-based, and the time period is not defined.

QA Senior Analyst will be responsible for performing scripted and exploratory test coverage using different testing techniques, carrying out issue reporting, research, analysis, confirmation and support resolution, and more. Among the responsibilities of QA Lead, there is performing the administration and communication of all QA-related project data and associated risks for all assigned projects, as well as the operational training, development, and delegation to assigned Assistant Leads, Senior Test Analysts, and Testers.

Recently, Glauco Longhi, the studio’s Character Supervisor, wrote on his LinkedIn page that the developer was working on a new IP that will probably not be related to God of War. Also, the studio recently posted a range of job positions “for the development of a new unannounced title” on its website and LinkedIn page, which include Lead Procedural Technical Artist, Lead Tools Programmer, and Senior Character Artist.

There are suggestions that the new title might be the game under the direction of Cory Barlog, which has been in development since 2019.
