Developed by Kaos Lab, Ultra Modular Landscape combines two powerful products into one, simplifying and speeding up your environment workflow.
The first is a next-gen landscape master material utilizing a modular layer system that allows you to effortlessly add or remove layers with a single click. Thanks to its modular nature, you can easily choose between a cinematic look with all advanced render features or selectively enable features for optimal performance and high efficiency. Both example scenes use only a landscape material with 5 material layers without relying on static meshes.
The Blueprint Prefab System enables you to spawn fully-formed mountains that impact multiple landscape material layers, each utilizing erosion masks. These mountains are seamlessly integrated into Unreal’s landscape system, allowing for a non-destructive workflow where they can be combined and modified. It fully supports Landscape mode’s edit layers, offering the flexibility to sculpt and paint directly on them. Best of all, it does so without consuming additional resources.
The pack also includes two fully realized scenes, Iceland and Grassland. Each is offered in two versions: a Nanite displacement version for the highest visual quality and an optimized, high-performance RVT one.

As for the Blueprint Prefab System, it includes:
- Spawn, move, and scale complete mountains
- Non-destructive workflow using Unreal’s landscape sculpting system
- Works with edit layers (modify the mountains with sculpt brushes)
- Control which material layers to interact with for each BP prefab instance
- 16 different mountain shapes, each with 20 unique erosion masks
- Both the mountain shapes and the erosion masks can be combined in multiple ways
- Doesn’t consume extra performance during runtime (it’s automatically baked down to the landscape height texture)
