The Last Of Us Season 2 Trailer Reveals What’s Coming In Future Episodes

HBO has released a new trailer for The Last of Us Season 2, spotlighting what’s to come in future episodes of the post-apocalyptic series. This video is naturally full of spoilers for what’s on tap.

In the trailer, we get a glimpse of when Joel (Pedro Pascal) gives Ellie (Bella Ramsey) her famous guitar, more scenes between Joel and his therapist Gail (Catherine O’Hara), and a window into what Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) is up to as she tries to hunt down Joel and get her revenge. The video also shows off Isaac (Jeffrey Wright) having a tense conversation, as well as scenes with lots and lots of infected.

Presumably some of what’s on display in the trailer is from Episode 2, but the video is titled “Weeks Ahead,” so it might also contain footage from other episodes as well. As announced previously, there are seven episodes in total for The Last of Us Season 2.

A second video released by HBO provides a behind-the-scenes look at Season 2, Episode 1. It provides further details and insights into things like why Joel goes to therapy, why and how Abby was introduced, the relationship between Ellie and Dina (Isabela Merced), and the new type of infected that emerges in the episode. This video, like the one above, is stuffed with spoilers.

New episodes of The Last of Us air Sundays at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. The show has already been renewed for a third season, which is good news for fans because Season 2 doesn’t tell the whole story of The Last of Us: Part II.
