The Minecraft Movie Has Its Own Popcorn Buckets, No Crafting Required

Movie theater-exclusive merchandise like popcorn buckets have been going strong for a few years now, with designs getting more and more outrageous with every new hot ticket release. A Minecraft Movie is no different, it turns out, as offerings like the TNT popcorn bucket and the Chicken Jockey popcorn bucket/drink-holder have been revealed.

The TNT bucket will be a Cinemark exclusive, with regular buckets featuring movie graphics also available. The TNT looks just like the pixelated version of the in-game model. There will also be plushies, keychains, and themed blankets for sale. You can get the TNT bucket, filled with popcorn, for $25.

Regal theaters will also have featured items like the movie’s redesigned sheep as a bucket, as well as themed cups. So if you happen to miss out on one chain’s collectibles, there’s plenty to go around.

A Minecraft Movie incorporates a lot of the game’s lore, but It focuses on four humans suddenly pulled into the Overworld: the block-tastic land complete with a slew of fiendish familiar faces like Creepers, Piglins, and Ghasts.

The cast includes Jack Black as the expert builder, Steve; Jason Momoa (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow); Danielle Brooks (Peacemaker); Emma Myers (Wednesday); and newcomer Sebastian Hansen. The movie is written by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener, Gavin James, and Chris Galletta and directed by Napoleon Dynamite’s Jared Hess.
