Game Developer Micah Berninghausen, whose procedural interior generator we’ve featured in the past, is apparently now delving into Nanite-based destruction in Unreal Engine 5. He recently shared a video demonstrating his progress, which alone looks like something you can easily enjoy playing while waiting for stuff to compile.
This Star Wars-inspired demo is all Nanite and features a mix of 2K CPU static meshes and some Nanite GPU Niagara ones. Micah also mentioned that he’s working with around 10-12 million instances in this scene. Watch the progress of this project through the videos below:
