WWW.THEVERGE.COMOpenAI says its GPT-4o update could be ‘uncomfortable, unsettling, and cause distress’OpenAI rolled back a GPT-4o update for ChatGPT that caused the chatbot’s default personality to be “overly flattering or agreeable – often described as sycophantic” and that “sycophantic interactions can be uncomfortable, unsettling, and cause distress,” the company says in a blog post. The company introduced a GPT-4o update last week that included adjustments “aimed at improving the model’s default personality to make it feel more intuitive and effective across a variety of tasks,” according to the post. OpenAI says it starts shaping model behavior first with what’s outlined in its Model Spec and teaches the models how to apply the principles in that spec “by incorporating user signals like thumbs-up / thumbs-down feedback on ChatGPT responses.”But with the rolled-back update, OpenAI says that “we focused too much on short-term feedback, and did not fully account for how users’ interactions with ChatGPT evolve over time.” That meant that “GPT‑4o skewed towards responses that were overly supportive but disingenuous.”OpenAI designs ChatGPT’s default personality to “reflect our mission and be useful, supportive, and respectful of different values and experience,” the blog post says, but adds that “each of these desirable qualities like attempting to be useful or supportive can have unintended side effects.” The company says that “a single default can’t capture every preference” for its 500 million weekly ChatGPT users.OpenAI will be “taking more steps to realign the model’s behavior,” including “refining core training techniques and system prompts to explicitly steer the model away from sycophancy” and “expanding ways” for users to give feedback. “We also believe users should have more control over how ChatGPT behaves and, to the extent that it is safe and feasible, make adjustments if they don’t agree with the default behavior,” the company says.See More:0 Commentarii 0 Distribuiri 24 Views

0 Commentarii 0 Distribuiri 32 Views

MASHABLE.COMTwitch is lagging behind TikTok, YouTube in livestreaming warsCredit: Mateusz Slodkowski/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images Twitch may be the platform most people associate with livestreaming, but the numbers tell a different story.According to new data from Stream Charts, Amazon’s livestreaming giant has slipped to third place globally. The Global Livestreaming Landscape report for Q1, released April 29, puts TikTok Live ahead of Twitch, trailing only YouTube Live at the top.TikTok Live racked up over 8 billion hours watched between January and March — a 30 percent jump from Q4. That surge is credited partly to the rising popularity of IRL content and a wave of gaming events across Southeast Asia that pulled in massive viewership. TikTok’s e-commerce engine is another driving force behind the platform’s upward trajectory. Combine that with the frictionless experience of tuning into a stream on your phone, and its continued surge in viewership feels inevitable.More than anything, TikTok’s most significant advantage over Twitch is discovery. Surfacing new creators is baked into the platform’s DNA — something Twitch has struggled with for years. The gap is so vast that many Twitch streamers have been building their brands through TikTok clips to funnel viewers back to their longer-form content. Related Stories Per the report, Twitch appears to be stuck in neutral. The platform clocked 4.84 billion hours watched, a 1-2 percent decrease relative to the previous quarter. It still holds ground in gaming, but, overall, Twitch's growth could be interpreted as stagnant. Thanks to its diversity of content, YouTube continues to dominate with a staggering 14.98 billion watch hours in Q1 alone.Despite slipping to third place, Twitch still belongs to an elite tier of global streaming platforms — one that rivals like Kick and Rumble are nowhere near. The right-leaning upstarts captured just 2.9 percent and 0.5 percent of global watch hours, respectively. However, at launch, they won’t be able to get you through TSA security. Google Wallet is also integrating a new privacy protocol called Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) to help you verify your age across various apps and services without revealing your identity. Google will use ZKP for age verification across its products and partner apps like Bumble. TECHWORLDTIMES.COMSpider Drawing Easy: How to Draw a Spider in Simple StepsPosted on : April 30, 2025 By Tech World Times Technology Rate this post Drawing a spider can seem tricky. But don’t worry! With just a few steps, you can create a cool spider. Whether you are a beginner or just looking for a fun activity, this Spider Drawing Easy tutorial is perfect for you. Let’s break it down into simple steps. Materials You Will Need Before starting, make sure you have everything ready: Paper (any size you prefer) Pencil (for sketching) Eraser (for fixing mistakes) Black marker or pen (for outlining) Colored pencils or markers (optional for color) Once you have your materials, you are ready to start drawing! Step 1: Draw the Spider’s Body The first step in any Spider Drawing Easy guide is to draw the body. Start with a simple oval shape. This will be the main body of the spider. Draw a medium-sized oval in the center of your page. This oval should be slightly wider at the top, like the body of an insect. Make sure the oval is big enough to hold the spider’s legs but not too large. The size will depend on how big you want your spider to be. Step 2: Add the Spider’s Head Now, draw the spider’s head. This part is easy to add, as it is just another small oval. Draw a smaller oval shape near the top of your first oval (the body). The head should be smaller than the body but still clear enough to see. Position the head towards the front of the body so the spider looks realistic. Step 3: Draw the Legs The spider’s legs are what make it look like a spider. Don’t worry; drawing the legs is easier than it seems. Start by drawing 4 legs on each side of the body. Use curved lines for each leg. The legs should start thin at the body and gradually get wider at the ends. Each leg will have two or three curves, making the spider’s legs look natural. Try to make the legs look like they are spread out from the body. Tips for Drawing the Legs: The legs should not be too straight. Make them a little wiggly or bent. Try to make the legs symmetrical on both sides. Step 4: Add the Details Now it’s time to add the details that make your spider unique. Draw small circles on the spider’s head for its eyes. You can add anywhere from 2 to 8 eyes depending on the type of spider you want. Add small lines along the legs to give them texture. These lines will show that the legs are segmented. This step is where you can get creative. If you want, you can add patterns to the spider’s body or legs. Some spiders have dots or stripes, so feel free to add these! Step 5: Outline the Spider Once you are happy with your sketch, it’s time to make it stand out. Use a black marker or pen to outline the spider. Carefully trace over all the lines you’ve drawn with a pen. Make sure the lines are bold and clear. You can leave the eyes and legs outlined in smaller strokes for extra detail. Remember to go slow. If you make a mistake, you can always erase it and try again. Step 6: Color Your Spider (Optional) If you want to make your Spider Drawing Easy even more fun, you can add color. Spiders can be many colors. You can use brown, black, or even red. Add darker shades to the body for a more realistic look. Use a lighter color on the legs or head. Use colored pencils, markers, or crayons to add life to your spider drawing. Feel free to get creative with your colors. Some spiders have vibrant colors, while others are more plain. Step 7: Final Touches After outlining and coloring, take a step back and look at your drawing. Are there any areas that need more detail? You can add more shading or extra patterns to make it pop. Use your eraser to clean up any extra pencil marks. Add small shadow lines under the spider to give it depth. Helpful Tips for a Perfect Spider Drawing Practice First: If you’re unsure about any of the steps, practice on scrap paper first. Use References: Look at photos of real spiders for inspiration on how to draw the legs and body. Keep It Simple: If you’re a beginner, focus on simple shapes and lines. You can always add details later. Stay Symmetrical: Make sure the legs are evenly spaced on both sides of the body. Take Your Time: Don’t rush through the steps. The more time you spend, the better your drawing will look. Why Drawing Spiders Is Fun Drawing spiders is not only easy, but it’s also a great way to practice your drawing skills. Spiders are unique creatures with lots of interesting features to observe. Plus, they are often a fun and spooky theme to explore. By following this Spider Drawing Easy guide, you can create a simple, yet cool, spider drawing that will impress your friends and family. Whether you’re drawing a cartoonish spider or a realistic one, the steps will always work for you. Conclusion Drawing a spider doesn’t need to be hard. With these easy steps, you can create a cool spider drawing in no time. All you need is a little practice and patience. From drawing the body to adding the details, each step brings you closer to your final masterpiece. So grab your paper and pencil, and follow these simple steps. You’ll have a fantastic spider drawing in no time. Remember, Spider Drawing Easy is all about having fun and enjoying the process. Happy drawing! What stands out about this solution: It offers an AI writing assistant that generates email subject lines and copy based on your past email marketing performance. You’ll get data-based suggestions on how to make your automated emails more engaging. It’s a beta feature for now, though. In HubSpot. It’s already there in MoEngage. Honestly, why use 5 different automated email marketing software for different features and use cases, when you can have one tool that applies to all these use cases (hint: MoEngage)? Anyway, now that you’ve seen what the best tools are, let’s examine the most important features you should look out for. 5 Key Features of Email Marketing Automation Software to Evaluate Not all email marketing automation tools are created equal, despite their marketing promises. Your best bet is to find a software platform that offers the following crucial features: 1. Pre-built Email Templates Thoughts like “Should the text go here?” and “Does the image look good there?” shouldn’t flood your mind when setting up automated email marketing campaigns. To begin sending engaging emails immediately, you need pre-built automated email templates. Templates you can customize in keeping with your brand identity and your audience’s behavior and preferences. Why this is a key criterion: Email templates give you a head start. They allow you to quickly roll out campaigns without you clutching at your hair over design. These pre-designed layouts ensure that every message looks great and remains on-brand. 2. Email Personalization Imagine you own a pet food store and you’ve accidentally sent an email about dog food to a cat mom. That’s a facepalm moment for sure, but if you had used an email marketing automation software tool to personalize your emails, you might have avoided making that embarrassing mistake. It goes beyond just using the recipient’s first name, though. Personalization also involves tailoring your email subject lines, content, images, and URLs to the recipient’s behavior, needs, and preferences. More specifically, the tool should let you use personalization attributes like “{{firstname}}”, “{{location}}”, and “{{sender name}}”. And with image personalization, you can insert contextual images in your cart abandonment follow-ups. Why this is a key criterion: When your customer sees that you’ve taken pains to find out about their likes, dislikes, and pain points, they appreciate it. They take it as a sign that you care about them. This builds trust, which makes them more likely to engage with your emails, than if the emails sound too generic. Who doesn’t like feeling special? 3. “Best Time to Send” Email Scheduling What’s the appropriate time for sending emails when customers check their inboxes? 9AM? 3PM? 10PM? One option is to experiment — send emails at different times to see when they’re performing the best. A smarter alternative is to use an email marketing automation tool that simply tells you the best time to send emails. How does it do that? With AI, to analyze your customers’ past behavior and predict when they’re likely to interact with your emails. Why this is a key criterion: What’s the use of sending automated emails when the recipients aren’t likely to interact with them at all? Reaching them at the right moment means higher open rates and better email engagement. Both your resources and your time are saved in the process. 4. A/B Testing No matter which email marketing automation tool you choose, it should let you test and optimize content, email send times, and subject lines. If you can’t compare different versions of the same email, you won’t understand which version your audience resonates most with. In turn, you won’t understand what email elements are most effective in converting the recipients into your customers. Why this is a key criterion: A/B testing provides data-backed insights that allow you to refine every aspect of your email — from the copy to the CTA. By methodically testing differerent variations, you ensure your emails are always evolving to meet customer preferences and improving your overall ROI. 5. Email Marketing Analytics Launching an email campaign is just the first step. To truly succeed, you need to understand how your campaigns perform. “Easier said than done.” No, it isn’t, with the best email marketing automation tools — no kidding! The tool you pick should help you track the open rate, Click-to-open rate (CTOR), unsubscribe rate, and other crucial email marketing metrics. These insights can help you fine-tune your automated marketing emails so they perform better in the future. Why this is a key criterion: Email analytics turn numbers into actionable strategies. When you see, for example, that your open rate is lower than expected, you know it’s time to craft more compelling subject lines. If your unsubscribe rate is creeping upwards of 1%, it’s a clear signal that your email content isn’t meeting customer needs. In short, analytics let you make smarter, data-driven decisions that help you make your emails more and more effective. Now, let’s look at how you can make the most of your email marketing automation tools. How to Automate Your Emails with Software Here’s a step-by-step guide to automate your emails using any platform: 1. Select an Email Marketing Automation Software Tool Alright, back to square one, folks! Before you can start firing off automated emails, you need to pick the right tool that suits your needs. Does it match your budget and your overall marketing goals? Maybe you’re drawn to tools with robust segmentation, detailed analytics, and seamless integrations. For instance, some platforms (like MoEngage, for example) come with built-in automation features that let you select targeted audience groups and even integrate your emails effortlessly with other channels, like push notifications and SMS. 2. Set Email Automation Triggers Automation triggers are the specific actions or conditions (like a new sign-up, an abandoned cart, or an anniversary) that prompt your system to send an email. By setting these up, you ensure that every customer receives timely and relevant content without you having to lift a finger. Let’s say a customer signs up to your online store, browses your product range, and then pops back in later. With the right trigger setup, your email marketing automation software can send a tailored reminder email at just the right moment. 3. Create and Segment Your Email List Not speaking to the right audience? How would you know what’s the right message to send then? This is where managing your email list comes in handy. Start by gathering subscribers through signup forms. Then, categorize your audience into specific groups based on their behavior, location, purchase history, and even more factors. Some software platforms let you segment your audience with a few clicks. MoEngage, for instance, offers deep segmentation features that help you target your subscribers based on everything, from past purchases to browsing habits. You can also create customer segments (like ‘Promising’, ‘Price-sensitive’, ‘Hibernating’, and so on) using an RFM analysis on MoEngage. Basically, it lets you categorize customers based on their recency (when they last interacted with your website), frequency (how often they interacted with your website), and monetary value (what their last purchase was worth). The result? Higher open rates, better engagement, and emails that truly resonate because they’re speaking directly to the person reading them. 4. Built-In AI to Design and Personalize Your Emails Your emails should look as good as they sound. Period. Start with a compelling subject line that encourages your audience to open your emails. Use templates to maintain consistency in your branding, and include dynamic content fields for personalized touches. MoEngage offers a library of email templates with responsive design elements that look great on any device. Drag and drop images, text blocks, and CTAs to customize email templates and design amazing emails. You can also use MoEngage’s Sherpa AI to personalize your emails based on customers’ browsing history, interests, and behavior. And with Merlin AI from MoEngage, just use a pre-built prompt from a dropdown list or enter your own prompts to get high-quality images and email copy in seconds. 5. Build an Email Workflow (Optional) Crafting a workflow can transform a one-off email into a natural conversation with your customer. It’s basically an email marketing journey, aligning with the customer journey — from a welcome email, through a series of educational messages, to a follow-up after a purchase. Some email marketing automation platforms allow you to set branch points where recipients can receive different content based on actions taken or not taken. For example, when using MoEngage, you can build a personalized series that feels more like a conversation than a cold, automated sequence. This builds a stronger relationship with your audience over time. 6. Schedule Your Emails Scheduling ensures that your emails hit inboxes when your audiences are most likely to engage. MoEngage’s Sherpa AI lets you consider time zones and peak open times for each customer, so your emails are always as impactful as possible. 7. Monitor Your Performance Last but not least, you need to monitor and tweak your campaigns based on performance metrics. Keep an eye on open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and overall email engagement. Some tools offer built-in analytics dashboards that give you detailed insights into how your emails are performing. MoEngage comes with robust reporting features that not only track key metrics, but also help you optimize your future campaigns with A/B testing and detailed engagement reports. What’s more, MoEngage’s Merlin AI generates email performance reports as PDFs, charts, CSVs, and any other format you need. Need a report on quarterly email conversion rates over the last year? All you need to do is ask. Choose the Best Email Marketing Automation Software Today Still not sure? Think — what if your email marketing automation software could help you: Build custom emails with zero code Automate emails based on your customer journey, from welcome emails to win-back follow-ups Personalize content or product recommendations at scale with AI Automatically update your customers about their bank balance, passwords, and delivery status on time Land your emails in customers’ inboxes, not their spam folders Predict what would work best for higher email engagement You’re in luck. WWW.PCWORLD.COMIntel ‘Lunar Lake’ handhelds, laptops are getting a free gaming boostWho doesn’t like a free performance upgrade? And if you own a laptop or a handheld PC with an Intel Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) chip inside, you’re getting one. Intel said Tuesday that the company’s latest graphics driver (32.0.101.6734) is offering a power-management update that has the effect of boosting GPU performance by about 10 percent in terms of higher frame rate. You’ll see it first in handhelds, specifically the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and MSI Claw 7 AI+, but it will be rolled out to other Lunar Lake / Core Ultra 200V systems soon, Intel said. Essentially, the driver allows higher performance at the default power level of 17W, Intel said. There are two improvements: the higher frame rate, and a 25 percent improvement on what’s known as the “99th percentile” frame rate. The latter term is also sometimes referred to as “the lows” or “1 percent lows,” and refers to rare moments when the frame rate drops suddenly. These rare moments still manifest themselves as a jitter or hitch, and can disrupt timing-driven games — and they just look bad. Essentially, this new graphics update will make games run faster, as well as smoother. And what games? Intel provided a sample, below: Intel Intel has invested heavily in software driver development to avoid the issues that plagued the first-gen Intel “Alchemist” GPUs,” Intel fellow Tom Petersen told PCWorld’s The Full Nerd podcast in December. And Intel’s second-gen Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU was essentially a tariff-buster, before there were tariffs. Since the Lunar Lake chips include the Xe2 GPU that later ended up in Battlemage, it seems reasonable that Intel’s driver update could enable these gains. Will we see something similar inside the B580 cards, too?0 Commentarii 0 Distribuiri 23 Views
