More Wt talks at ACM SIGGRAPH Denver today - the 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' (or was it Bears...) team talked about their work, our CTO Kimball Thurston shared his views on AI's role in VFX, and the Wt team behind this year's Oscar winning Animated Short 'WAR IS OVER! - Inspired by the Music of John & Yoko' - Wt's first animated film - talked about the creative and production challenges. Sebastian Schmidt spoke about USD in Production and Kevin Smith gave a talk about 'Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire' in the Autodesk Vision series.

Wt FX's VFX Supervisor, Erik Winquist, spent the day in San Diego at Comic-Con International presenting our teams work on the film, and chatting with fans and press.TheKingdom of the Planet of the Apes panel featured Owen Teague (Noa), Freya Allan (Nova/Mae), Kevin Durand (Proximus) and Peter Macon (Raka), as well as Previs Supervisor Casey Pyke and Editor Dan Zimmerman, hosted by Gerrad Hall of Entertainment Weekly.After the panel, Erik sat down for a chat with Screen Rant and the Con Daily.
