Hideo Kojima loves stuffing his games full of celebrity appearances of all kinds, from those playing major roles to those making brief cameo appearances.Death Strandingin particular featured an abundance of the former, with comedian and TV host Conan OBrien being one among them. As it turns out, OBrien will be returning in another future game by Kojima Productions as well.The same was confirmed in a recent episode of Clueless Gamer, OBriens recurring video games-focused show. Revealed during a conversation between OBrien and Kojima, the former will be scanned once again after visiting Kojima Productions new studio, following which he will make another appearance in a game.What game specifically that will be remains to be seen, butDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach, which is due out next year for PS5, would seem like the most likely candidate. Of course, Kojima Productions is currently also working on Xbox horror titleOD, so maybe thats what Kojima is eyeing for Conan this time.

Square Enix has made it perfectly clear that after the commercial underperformance ofFinal Fantasy 16and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth,it intends to adopt a multiplatform release strategy going forward. And though its looking increasingly likely thatFinal Fantasy 16will release for Xbox sooner rather than later,Final Fantasy 7 RemakeandRebirthboth remain exclusive to PlayStation (while the latter isnt even available on PC).And while nothing official has yet been announced on that front,Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthdirector Naoki Hamaguchi seems to be indicating that an Xbox release is very much something that Square Enix is planning on for both remakes.Speaking with GamesRadar, he talked about wanting to reach as many players as possible with theRemaketrilogy, saying, In terms of Final Fantasy 7, theres nothing really we can say at the moment, but certainly I do want to bring Final Fantasy 7 and the Remake series to as many players out there as possible, so we want to create that situation, that environment, where more players can play the games in future, and we want to look in that direction.He added, Its so much more diversified now, so I think thats thats probably why our CEO, Mr. [Takashi] Kiryu, made that decision to move more in the direction of multiplatform thats just the way that the industry is going.Hamaguchi went on to add that personally, hes an Xbox fan himself. This is just a personal opinion now, but Ive got an Xbox myself. I think its a great hardware platform. I do like Xbox.Reports have previously claimed that though Square Enix is internally discussing Xbox ports forFinal Fantasy 7 RemakeandRebirth, theyre not yet in the works, though based on Hamaguchis statements, it does seem like the company intends to bring both games to Microsofts consoles sooner rather that later.Whether that means the final instalment of theRemaketrilogy will see a day and date Xbox release should be interesting to see, though thats probably a handful of years down the road.
