These are one step down from the high-end features on the Strix Scar, but still maintain a lot of the same performance features, including options for the latest chips from either AMD or Intel, paired with an RTX 50-series GPU. With last years Zephyrus G14, Asus topped out the range with an RTX 4070 in order to achieve a form factor thats even thinner and lighter than a MacBook Pro. The memory is soldered, so you cant upgrade or replace it, and the thin size likely means the laptop will run hot. Dell is ditching its old naming system for PC products.The company is dividing its PC line-up into three categories: Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max.Dell executives said Apple didn't own the words "pro" and "max" when asked about the similar names.Tech giant Dell has announced a new naming system for its PC line-up.But that sparked some questions from people who attended a media briefing on Monday, who pointed out that Dell's new naming system seemed similar to a key competitor's.Dell told reporters ahead of this year's Consumer Electronics Show that it was dividing its PC products into three categories: Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max.This replaces Dell's current system which features names like Inspiron, OptiPlex, and XPS. The company said at the briefing that the new names won't apply to its gaming brand, Alienware."Your branding sounds a lot like Apple. Aren't you just following them?" one audience member said at the briefing, Bloomberg's Brody Ford reported on Monday.Ever since the iPhone 11 was introduced in 2019, Apple has used the "Pro" and "Pro Max" labels for the iPhone's higher-tiered variants. The naming system is also used for some of Apple's other products as well, like the iPad Pro tablet, and the AirPods Pro earphones.Apple doesn't own the words "pro" and "max," Dell's executives said at the briefing.The company's COO Jeff Clarke said that the naming decision was based on research Dell did with "tens of thousands of customers," per Bloomberg.The new naming system will "make it easier for our customers to do business with us," said Dell founder and CEO, Michael Dell.Dell and Apple did not respond to Business Insider's requests for comment.To be sure, Apple isn't the only tech company who has used words like "pro" in its product names. For instance, Microsoft has its Surface Pro tablets as well as its AI subscription offering, Copilot Pro.Rival HP made a similar move to simplify their product naming system last year. The company said in May that it was using the prefix "Omni" for its consumer laptops and desktops, and the prefixes "Elite" and "Pro" for its commercial offerings.Although Dell is best known for its computer business, the company has increasingly turned its attention toward its flourishing AI business. The company said in June that it was partnering with chip giant Nvidia to build an AI factory for Elon Musk's AI startup, xAI.In November, Dell said its Infrastructure Solution Groups, which includes sales of AI servers, earned $11.4 billion in revenues for the third quarter of 2024, a 34% year-on-year increase.Dell's shares were up by over 57% last year.

There were strikes. Missile strikes, we heard them," Zelenskyy said, according to a translation provided by Fridman."And later, by the way, a few days after, after the first days of the war, I spoke with Lukashenko on the phone," Zelenskyy added.Zelenskyy recounted the conversation, in his words, proceeding in this fashion:And he apologized. Asus ROG brand has never been one to skimp out on external lighting, but these latest laptops are getting closer to creating a full-on light show on their lids. The companys latest Strix lineup, specifically the ROG Strix Scar, has crammed in more LED AniMe lights on its cover than the back of the recent ROG Phone 9. If the only thing you demand from gaming gear is excessive lighting, then the new ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 would be on the top of the pile. However, if you dont care about lighting, theres still a lot to like. The Strix Scar 16 and 18 house an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX and up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop version with a 175W max TGP and 24GB of VRAM. As for its display, OLED hopefuls will need to settle for a 2560 by 1440 mini-LED screen with a 240 Hz refresh rate. At least Asus promises this screen will be extra bright and support Nvidia G-Sync and Dolby Vision HDR. At a briefing, I saw firsthand how the pre-installed system allows you to add your own GIFs to the backlights and adjust the RGB light bar surrounding the chassis.These are hefty laptops, clocking in at 6.28 pounds at the light end, but these desktop replacement devices can support up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage. Even better, Asus has made it far easier to disassemble and replace these parts. And, of course, it comes with the foldout keyboard and stands typical of your average iPad. Robot vacuums have stalled these past few years, at least when introducing something truly breathtaking. Sure, theres that robot vacuum with the arm, but that only does one thing. Eufys newest robot vacuum, debuting at CES 2025, is a three-in-one device. The company calls it, matter-of-factly, the Eufy Clean E20 or Robot Vacuum 3-in-1. It is three devices in one: a robot vacuum, a handheld vacuum, and a cordless stick vacuum. The form factor you use it in depends on your mess. The Eufy Clean E20 is essentially a core vacuum with varying attachments, one of which is a robot body. It starts with the base station, which hails a sizeable 350mL litter box with an accompanying self-emptying system to clear out the robot once its performed its duty. Then, when you need to clean something up or run the vacuum to freshen up, you can take the core out of the base station and attach it to one of the other accessories, transforming it into an upright stick vacuum or handheld handy vac. The choice is yours and yours alone. Eufy, owned by Anker, which has its own combination of wild and whacky gadgets that can do things, bills this as the all-you-need vacuum. The E20 reaches up to 30,000Pa suctioning power in stick or handheld vacuum mode and up to 8,000Pa in robot form. (Typically, robot vacuums dont suck as much as regular upright vacuums.) And since the core of the vacuum is the same between accessories, the suction prowess remains similar.Since Anker is a battery company, this robot vacuum has some battery prowess to show off. The Eufy Clean E20s battery enables it to clean for up to 180 minutes on a full charge. It then takes about 2.5 hours to charge fully. Eufy claims the E20 juices up 40% faster than its competition.The Eufy Clean E20 costs $560 for the whole package, about the same as many mid-range robot vacuums. The difference is that this is a three-in-one. Its available for pre-order this month and will start shipping in February.
