US military contractors are already hard at work developing similar weapons systems.Case in point, defense contractor Allen Control Systems recently showed off an artificial intelligence-enabled autonomous robotic gun system dubbed "Bullfrog" which can fire an M240 machine gun from a rotating turret.And now it appears that hobbyists are producing similar systems.It's still unclear how exactly STS 3D integrated OpenAI into his project. OpenAI's Realtime API allows tinkerers to build "multi-modal conversational experiences with expressive voice-enabled models" an easy way to give a killer weapon system acheery voice and the ability to decipher verbal commands.Conveniently, OpenAI quietly updated its usage guidelines almost exactly a year ago, as first reported by the Intercept, deleting previous language that banned "activity that has high risk of physical harm," including "weapons development" and "military and warfare."However, the company's revised policy still forbids anybody to "use our service to harm yourself or others," which includes the development "or use of weapons."In short, STS 3D may have violated the company's usage policies with his latest invention. My first night taking Lemme SleepWhile preparing for bed, I took the recommended dosage of two gummies. Less than 30 minutes later, I felt myself drift off to sleep. I remember feeling incredibly relaxed as if peacefully floating on a cloud. According to my sleep tracker, I slept for 10 hours and 4 minutes -- a new high score. Im not sure that Ive ever slept that long.As shown in my sleep data below, I woke up a few times throughout the night but fell back asleep quickly each time. I didnt remember having bizarre dreams, which is unusual for me. I did wake up feeling rather groggy and probably would have slept even longer if my dog hadnt woken me up asking to go outside.In those 10 hours, I spent less than 1 hour in deep sleep (53 minutes) and most of the time in core/light sleep (7 hours). The recommended amount of deep sleep for adults is around 1.5 to 2 hours, or 20% to 25% of the total time asleep. Ideally, I would have spent 2 to 2.5 hours in deep sleep, which may explain why I woke up still tired -- that, or I overslept for the first time in years. My sleep latency, or the time it takes to fall asleep, was also very short. After taking two Lemme Sleep gummies, I slept for a shocking 10 hours. Aly Lopez/CNETOverall, I was impressed by my experience on the first night of taking Lemme Sleep. My average sleep time is usually around 6.5 to 7 hours, so this was a surprisingly drastic difference.Is it OK to take sleep supplements every night?Throughout my years of testing and researching varioussleep aids, I'm hesitant to rely heavily on supplements with melatonin.Dr. Navya Mysore, primary care physicianandmedia health expert, confirmed these hesitations. "Sleep supplements are OK from time to time. Generally, I don't recommend them for everyday long-term use. Up to two months is OK whileyou aretrying to figure out the source of the sleep issue, but long-term use of melatonin may affect how you naturally produce melatonin."To avoid overdoing it and to test the actual effectiveness of Lemme Sleep, I varied the number of gummies I took each night. The instructions on Lemme's website also say that you can start with a one-gummy dose if you're looking forlighter sleep or want to see the effect before taking a two-gummy dose. Throughout the 24 days of my experiment, there were eight nights when I took two gummies, eight nights when I took one gummyandeight nights when I took none.My second night taking Lemme SleepHaving slept for a deliciously long time after the first night of taking Lemme Sleep, I was looking forward to it the next night. I only took one gummy and was surprised by the results. Like the first night, I fell asleep quickly. Unlike the first night, I slept for a measly 5 hours and 15 minutes and spent over 2 hours awake throughout the night.Other factors could influence sleep quality, such as bedroom environment, stress levels, extraneous noises, exercise, etc. On this particular night, nothing out of the ordinary would have been to blame though. For hours, I was awake, frustratedandconfused about why I couldnt sleep when the previous night had been such a success. It was like taking one gummy had the opposite effect. I slept half as long the second night as I did the first night after taking Lemme Sleep. Aly Lopez/CNETTrial and error: Testing various amountsAbout a week later, I had another 10-hour night after taking two Lemme Sleep gummies. Like that first night, I didnt get as much deep sleep as I would have liked (less than 1 hour). I spent nearly an hour awake, which is more than preferred. Regardless, I woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated -- not as groggy as I had the first time. The second (and final) night of getting 10 hours of sleep during the testing period. Aly Lopez/CNETMy sleep data resultsOn average, I slept the most (around 8 hours per night) after taking two Lemme Sleep gummies. Compare that to a lower average of 7 hours, 22 minutes after taking one Lemme Sleep gummy, and the lowest of 6 hours, 38 minutes on nights when I took zero gummies.Number of gummies taken vs. average hours slept I slept the most after taking two Lemme Sleep gummies, around 8 hours.Although I slept the most after taking two Lemme Sleep gummies, it was not consistent, and it wasn't necessarily better sleep, as shown below. Toward the end of the trial, taking one gummy resulted in the most consistent sleep and the least amount of time awake. I was impressed by the low awake times I experienced after taking only one gummy. For four nights, I was awake for 6 minutes or less, which is a significant improvement.Nightly hours slept vs. number of gummies taken I consistently got the least amount of sleep on the nights when I took no gummies.Regarding mysleep cycle, the most significant difference is that I spent more time in light/core sleep after taking two gummies. Interestingly, my deep sleep remained roughly the same (about an hour) regardless of how many gummies I took. I spent about as much time awake on nights when I had no gummies and nights when I took two. On the nights I took only one gummy, I spent the least time awake.Average time spent in each sleep phase I spent the least time awake on nights when I took only one gummy.Lemme break down the ingredientsIn one serving (or two gummies), Lemme Sleep has:5 mg of melatonin20 mg of magnesium50 mg of L-theanine25 mg of a botanical blend (chamomile, lavender and elderberry) Lemme Sleep has melatonin, magnesium, L-theanine and a proprietary herbal blend. Aly Lopez/CNETI consulted with Dr. Navya Mysore about these ingredients. The melatonin dose is a good average amount -- usually what I recommend to my patients to try. Magnesium citrate is very low and not what I would suggest for sleep. I like magnesium bisglycinate; about 400 mg before bed is a good dose. They are still trying to figure out the dosage for L-theanine and what would help with sleep, but 50 mg seems on the lower end.In regard to the botanical blend within the Lemme Sleep gummies, Mysore explains, There is little evidence that the other ingredients [in the botanical blend] support sleep. In general, I'm not a fan when they try to mix many things into one supplement. It's often better to take the individual supplement where you can have a higher dose of the supplement itself. I encountered this opinion in other online reviews of Lemme Sleep.Its also important to note the disclaimer on Lemmes website, which reads, These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.What people are saying about LemmeLemmes vitamins and supplements are also available onAmazon, with mixed customer reviews. The Lemme Sleep gummies currently have a 3.8/5-star rating out of 1,400 reviews -- 17% of which are one-star. Donut Lab showed off the latest generation of its Donut Motor, a wheel-shaped drive unit that powers the wheels of an EV. Instead of a central engine moving each wheel, this type of in-wheel electric motor provides the oomph. Combine several of them around the vehicle and you're no longer bound by the space and weight limitations of a central engine.So what's so great about this second-generation Donut Motor? It's smaller and lighter than other similar devices -- the 21-inch model is apparently 88 pounds (40 kg), roughly a third of a standard electric drive unit. Less weight means fewer components and more range. It's been available as part of the free (and nearly two decade old) ASCII version for years, but it wasn't included when the game made the jump to Steam as a notably slicker paid release - featuring the likes of sprite-based visuals, a mouse-driven UI, and Steam Workshop compatibility - in 2022.Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode release date trailer.Watch on YouTubeThat changed last May when developer siblings Zach and Tarn Adams launched a public beta version of Adventure Mode for Dwarf Fortress on Steam. At the time, the duo noted the beta had "some missing bits" seen in the ASCII version - ranging from additional graphics and sounds to butchery, crafting, and trading - that would be implemented prior to its full release.And now, following nine months of beta access, Adventure Mode's full release is officially set for 23d January. "Thank you to all the urists who participated in the beta and left their helpful feedback," the Adamses wrote in announcement on Steam. "The mode has come a long way since it first launched in beta and we couldn't have done it without your help!""We are excited to shift focus back to Fortress Mode very soon," the announcement continued, "but this is also not the end of Adventure Mode development. Many updates in the future will be applied to both modes and there's still more to add to Adventure Mode in the future. As with everything in Dwarf Fortress development, it will all come in due time."Prior to Adventure Mode's full launch on Steam (and itch.io, where the Premium version is also available), the Adamses have released what'll likely be one of the mode's last pre-launch beta updates, featuring a long list of improvements and additions - as detailed the latest patch notes.

The existence of a Pokmon Presents livestream on or around Pokmon Day (27th February, the anniversary of Pokmon Red and Green's original Japanese debut) is not a huge surprise. Pokmon Presents livestreams have often (but not always) been held on the date. Like a Pokmon-focused version of a Nintendo Direct, at least one Pokmon Presents broadcast has been held each year since 2015, and sometimes multiple times a year. Typically, these contain details on all Pokmon projects to be released over the coming months, including console and mobile games, plus other updates on the franchise.To date, we hadn't heard anything official about 2025's first Pokmon Presents, and this year bringing with it Switch 2 had potentially added another wrinkle, in that presumably the livestream will also feature whatever may be in the works for Nintendo's still currently unannounced console.This could include a Switch 2 version of the already-announced Switch game Pokmon: Legends Z-A (which was conspicuously revealed last year without showing any actual gameplay, as if a better-looking version was also in the works).All of this begs the question - will Switch 2 be unveiled before 27th February? That date is a month before Nintendo's own deadline to announce the new console (31st March), but judging by the pace of Switch 2 leaks now, it seems very likely.

However, little has been heard about the game since its reveal two years ago, and now Splash Damage has confirmed development has ceased."Today, we have some very difficult news to share," the company wrote in a statement on social media. "The decision has been made to end development of Transformers: Reactivate. This means we will be scaling down to refocus our efforts on other projects.
