Democratizing AI: Implementing a Multimodal LLM-Based Multi-Agent System with No-Code Platforms for Business Automation
Adopting advanced AI technologies, including Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) powered by LLMs, presents significant challenges for organizations due to high technical complexity and implementation costs. No-Code platforms have emerged as a promising solution, enabling the development of AI systems without requiring programming expertise. These platforms lower barriers to AI adoption, allowing even non-technical users to leverage AI tools efficiently. By 2025, nearly 70% of applications are projected to utilize Low-Code or No-Code platforms, showcasing their growing role in democratizing AI technologies. Additionally, LLMs have proven transformative in various applications, including generative AI, which creates new content like text, images, and videos, and multimodal AI, which integrates diverse data forms for tasks such as image recognition and cross-modal retrieval. The development of LLM-based MAS has further advanced AIs capabilities by enabling multiple autonomous agents to collaborate on complex tasks through natural language interactions. These systems integrate specialized agents that process data from different modalities, manage temporal and spatial relationships, and coordinate task allocation. Adopting multimodal learning techniques, such as embedding spaces and cross-attention mechanisms, enhances understanding of diverse data types, enabling tasks like image-to-text transformation and cross-modal search. These advancements make AI systems more flexible, efficient, and accessible, driving innovation in enterprise environments while addressing implementation challenges.Researchers from SAMSUNG SDS, Seoul, developed a multimodal LLM-based MAS using No-Code platforms to simplify AI integration into business processes without requiring professional developers. The system, built using tools like Flowise, integrates Multimodal LLMs, image generation with Stable Diffusion, and RAG-based MAS. Evaluated through use cases like image-based code generation and Q&A systems, it highlights collaborative agent synergies. The study emphasizes technical implementation, business applicability, and performance evaluation, showcasing improved efficiency and accessibility for non-experts and SMEs. The research offers a scalable methodology for AI adoption, reducing manual tasks and advancing the practical use of MAS across industries.Implementing a multimodal LLM-based MAS using the Flowise platform involves setting it up in the cloud, securely managing API keys, and integrating external services like OpenAI and Stable Diffusion. A hybrid relational and NoSQL database system efficiently handles structured and unstructured data. Agents for Image Analysis, RAG Search, Image Generation, and Video Generation process input types, such as text, images, and audio, to produce corresponding outputs like text, photos, and videos. These agents are integrated into a unified workflow with a web-based user interface for seamless functionality and real-time input processing. The study discusses the implementation and results of a multimodal MAS, focusing on various use cases like image analysis, code generation, RAG-based search, image generation, and video generation. The system processes incomplete code images, generates code through agent collaboration, and reviews it for quality. RAG search agents retrieve answers from RAG knowledge and external sources when needed. The image-generation agents create visuals from text descriptions or sketches, while the video-generation agents produce videos based on textual or image inputs. Integrating these agents into a unified system enables seamless user interaction and execution of tasks. In conclusion, The study presents a multimodal LLM-based MAS built using a No-Code platform, Flowise, to simplify AI adoption in enterprises. It demonstrates the systems effectiveness in automating tasks like code generation, image and video creation, and RAG-based query responses, reducing the need for specialized development teams. The research highlights the practical benefits of AI in business, such as improving efficiency and content generation. It also offers a novel methodology for integrating multimodal data with No-Code platforms, though it acknowledges limitations in customization, data handling, and agent communication that require further refinement.Check out the Paper. AU Deals: The Cheapest Copies of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Our Hands On Impressions
Swording people out by smacking them with sharp bits of metal never gets old in video games. That being said, 2018s Kingdom Come: Deliverance taught me theres an extra layer of satisfaction to be had if youve also spent ten minutes hammering your NPC-sticker into life via an anvil minigame.Armed with that blacksmith know-how and after many an hour of play, I feel qualified to say that todays subject has been vigorously worked from rough and raw materials into finer craftsmanship and polish. From what I now know of Kingdom Come Deliverance II: Deliver Harder, it falls into the category of More of the Same, Only Better. If you somehow missed the original, I guess the very rough analog would be: a modestly-sized Skyrim with all fantasy elements replaced with the often deliberately mundane trappings of late medieval times plus a by the angles approach to fisticuffs.Oh, and a rich, multi-path tapestry revenge tale threaded with (literal) rags-to-riches elements, too.Im going to dive into the whys and wherefores of this sequels worthiness, but for now I should supply some bargains to the impulse buyers among you. Personally, Id rather get more intel about my games before I reach for the coin purse and cough up some Groschen. Just like the previous game, youll be slipping into the Peter Pan-y tights of Henry of Skalitz. He's a blacksmiths son whospoilers and a very long story shortgoes from surviving the slaughter of his village to somehow entering the service of Sir Hans Capon. Said young lord is pretty good comedy value as hes a bit of a playboy and pompous arse whos constantly getting the more straight-laced Christian Henry into sordid sidequest shenanigans.I cant say too much about the setup of the one he gets you in during the opening section of the game; suffice to say, its one of those remove all your sick gear and abilities chestnuts that we gamers adore so much. Kingdom Come Deliverance II, in that regard, is a clean slate proposition that decently welcomes the uninitiated among you into its particular brand of sword n board and/or buckling of swash.Fair warning from the onset, though: if youre not prepared for the more sedate and measured approach to almost every system in this RPGtraversal, progression, and combatyou might find yourself sword and bored if youre unable to downshift to its preferred pace. And that speed is a slow burn for the first few hours. Verily I say that theres some knightly action in its intro, but, after a fall from grace, youre in Peasantville, population: you. That means eking out an existence in a foreign land to earn the scratch needed to keep your constitution meters and degrading equipment statuses at bay as you desperately try to find some elusive rung thats needed to hoist yourself back up to your true station in life.Honestly, as a masochist gamer who eats this sort of misery up, KCD2 appealed. And thats true despite the developers approach to onboarding being almost always pausing the game to throw a four-page pdf of explanations at you before asking you to demonstrate in high-stakes, low-health real-time what youve just learned. You might find yourself sword and bored if youre unable to downshift to its preferred pace.Couldve been worse. The realism-obsessed Warhorse Studios could have put all of those info dumps in Latin (and probably would have considered it at some point, such is their incredible attention to historical accuracy). After much gawking at this beautiful, spacious worldas I traipsed through its richly populated villages full of reactive and perceptive townspeople with their own schedulesI found purpose. TL;DR: Reentering the upper class requires a shrewdly planned wedding crash. Pleasingly, KCD2 branches off into two main approaches here: cosy up to the miller and his concubine or get into the good graces of Radovan, the local blacksmith. As for performance on the PS5 Pro code Ive been smashing through, Im technically still in the preview window for KCD2, so were quite a bit distant from any day one patch rectification (if that is indeed planned). That being said, Ive seen one or two full game crashes while I was perusing these remarkably deep stats and inventory screens. Mind you, having played the first game and fallen victim to AI oddities with regards to pathing and quest progression, I found myself quite surprised by the polish in the out-in-the-field ecosystem. Essentially, I cant recall any Share-button-worthy instances of this vast complex sandbox going awry. Maybe the odd enemy trying to (unsuccessfully) push through, but then going around one another in order to get me into stabbin range. Low-level stuff.Speaking of combat, it goes quite well, but series newcomers should go in expecting a very different approach to making the uppance come to ones opponents. As before, whats here is a lock-on heavy, stamina-constrained combat system that is on one hand quite fluid and tactical but, on the other, highlights how sluggish the average person is when circle-strafing in real life.Basically, expect fun but not flashiness.PlayI enjoyed returning to it. Quick flicking the right stick to select an attack angle that matches the stance of your opponent feels fluid and satisfying. Its the same deal with timing your blocks and ripostes to their incoming swings with L2 and R2, respectively. But mostly, I enjoyed waiting for a bandit or two to shift their focus on my allies, at which point Id loop around to wail on their exposed pancreas. What can I tell you, folks? Henry is a good Christian soul but Im a godless min-maxing opportunist. What happens after a scrap is even more compelling. Above and beyond most other open-world RPGs is Kingdom Come Deliverances robust and far-reaching consequences system. Even more than before, it seems that every NPC took sharp note of my behaviour, cleanliness, reputation, and proximity to any suspicious deed (be it grand larceny, casual pickpocketing, or deleting them for anything less than self-defense).Henry is a good Christian soul but Im a godless min-maxing opportunist.Trying to come up by five-finger-discounting my way through this Holy Roman Empire landed me in trouble often. I love that certain attributes can give you brute force conversational options during the interrogation that ensues. For most encounters, I wound up in the stocks with my ill-gotten booty confiscated and my good name in the mud.Honestly, I enjoy that KCD2s social systems are as brutal and high-stakes as its combat. If you have the temperament for it, theres something immensely satisfying to be gained from grinding for every skill you need (via repeated use as opposed to some perk tree) and every item on your person.More importantly, I'm invested in the characters and twists in this rollicking roadtrip tale about a lord and his bodyguard in the direst of straits. Plus, and while the code I have doesn't quite feel day one perfect, it's abundantly clear that Warhorse Studios has spent their extra polishing time well. In the short time it's taken to collate my thoughts and slap them into the site, a rare and telling thing has occureda definite itch to return to KCD2 has developed. That being said, I very much think you should carve out some calendar space and prepare for a hard day's knight come February 4th.Back to top Adam Mathew is a 19-year industry vet and an Aussie deals wrangler. Apple Intelligence isnt helping Apple boost iPhone sales, says analyst
Apple last year introduced Apple Intelligence, its own set of AI tools. Since they are all processed on-device, Apple Intelligence requires the latest hardware such as the iPhone 15 Pro and later. Even so, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the requirements of Apple Intelligence havent helped Apple boost iPhone sales.Users not convinced to buy a new iPhone because of Apple IntelligenceIn a note on his blog, Kuo said that Apples efforts to promote Apple Intelligence havent resulted in an increase in iPhone sales. According to his sources in the supply chain, most iPhone owners dont seem interested in buying a new model just because of the AI features. A SellCell survey last month revealed that most users see little to no value in Apple Intelligence so far.The analyst notes that Apple was unable to sustain the initial buzz after announcing Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024, as its competitors have advanced rapidly in subsequent months. Kuo believes that other AI platforms such as OpenAIs ChatGPT benefit from being cloud-based, while Apple Intelligence is entirely reliant on hardware processing.Apples efforts to promote on-device AI face multiple structural challenges. For example, despite the initial buzz following Apple Intelligences debut at WWDC 2024, its appeal has significantly declined compared to cloud-based AI services, which have advanced rapidly in subsequent months, Kuo said. The analyst added that there is no evidence of Apple Intelligences ability to benefit hardware replacement cycles.Apple has been rolling out Apple Intelligence features in phases. First, the company introduced Writing Tools and the summarization feature with iOS 18.1. Then, with iOS 18.2, Apple introduced Genmoji, Image Playgrounds, and ChatGPT integration. The long promised more advanced Siri with on-screen awareness is yet to come in April.Another aspect that certainly affects interest in Apple Intelligence is its availability. Not just because of the hardware requirements, but because Apples AI features are only available in English so far. The company says it will introduce support for more languages later this year.Even so, Apple has been heavily using Apple Intelligence to promote its latest hardware. Most of the ads for the iPhone 16 and M4 Macs highlight features such as Genmoji and text summarization.Add 9to5Mac to your Google News feed. FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links. VLC media player will soon offer AI-generated subtitles in multiple languages
VLC is one of the most popular multiplatform media players, and VideoLAN the company behind the app has been working on a major update. Soon, users will have access to AI-generated subtitles in multiple languages, even offline.AI-generated subtitles coming to VLCVideoLAN teased the technology at CES 2025 and shared some videos of it in action. Essentially, VLC will use AI to automatically generate subtitles for videos. The AI will also be able to translate the subtitles into other languages, all offline and in real time.At the same time we have automatic translation working to translate the subtitles to your own language, Kempf says, with more than 100 languages planned for support. Whats important is that this is running on your machine locally, offline, without any cloud services. It runs directly inside the executable. In a series of videos shared on X, VideoLAN showed open-source AI models generating real-time subtitles in different languages. According to the company, the feature will work not only for pre-recorded videos, but also for live broadcasts. As noted by The Verge, VideoLAN had already been developing a plugin based on OpenAIs Whisper to generate subtitles, but the new demo seems to show a native feature built right into the VLC app. Details on when exactly the feature will be available to the public remain unclear. In March 2024, VideoLAN announced that it has been working on version 4.0 of VLC, which will be a major update that will rewrite the whole core of the app. The update, which is still under development, brings a refreshed interface and some other new features. VideoLAN also said it was working on a version for Apple Vision Pro.You can find thelinks to download VLC on the apps official website.Add 9to5Mac to your Google News feed. Apple opposes investor calls to end its DEI efforts: We strive to create a culture of belonging
Apple filed its annual proxy report for shareholders today ahead of its annual shareholders meeting next month. The report reveals new information on Tim Cooks compensation for 2024 and calls on shareholders to vote against a proposal to end its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. In todays proxy filing, Apple revealed that Tim Cooks pay saw an 18% increase in 2024 compared to 2023. Cook earned a $3 million base salary along with $58.1 million in stock awards and $13.5 million in additional compensation, for a total compensation of $74.6 million. As Bloomberg notes, the majority of the increase comes from an increase in stock award value. Investors will vote on four outside proposals at next months annual shareholders meeting. Apple is urging shareholders to vote against those proposals, including one that calls on the company to end its diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. The shareholder proposal, submitted by the conservative think tank National Center for Public Policy Research, claims that DEI poses litigation, reputational and financial risks to companies, and therefore financial risks to their shareholders, and therefore further risks to companies for not abiding by their fiduciary duties. The proposal says that Apples Inclusion & Diversity program policies are consistent with, if not more radical than, most corporate DEI programs. Apple, however, recommends shareholders vote against this proposal because: The proposal is unnecessary as Apple already has a well-established compliance program and the proposal inappropriately attempts to restrict Apples ability to manage its own ordinary business operations, people and teams, and business strategies. our Board and management maintain active oversight of legal and regulatory risks and compliance for our global business. The company says: At Apple, we believe that how we conduct ourselves is as critical to Apples success as making the best products in the world. We seek to conduct business ethically, honestly, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and our Business Conduct and Compliance policies are foundational to how we do business. And we strive to create a culture of belonging where everyone can do their best work.Apples opposition to this shareholder proposal comes as many other companies have scaled back or abandoned DEI programs in recent months. Meta announced plans to roll back DEI programs today, alongside recent announcements from Amazon, Walmart, Ford, and more. Apples board also recommends shareholders vote against these three proposals: Report on Ethical AI Data Acquisition and UsageApple has a strong track record on protecting user privacy and a robust approach to integrating ethical considerations into our technology, as reflected in our Responsible AI principles. The requested report is unnecessary given Apple already provides all the information requested regarding Apples AI data privacy practices. The proposal does not raise any specific issues with Apple Intelligence, but instead focuses its criticisms on OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, an independent service that Apple users may choose to access, and inappropriately cites controversies related to other companies that do not involve Apple.Report on Costs and Benefits of Child Sex Abuse Material-Identifying Software & User PrivacyApple has demonstrated its commitment to helping protect children in a changing online landscape and has developed innovative technologies like Communication Safety. We believe that our current approach to child safety, which is informed by stakeholder engagement, is more appropriate than the universal surveillance suggested in the proposal, which could have serious implications for our users human and civil rights globally.Report on Charitable GivingApple has a well-established corporate donations program that follows a strict internal governance and approval process, and the proposal attempts to inappropriately restrict Apples ability to manage its own ordinary business operations and business strategies. Our Board and management maintain active oversight of legal and regulatory risks and compliance for our global business.Apples annual shareholder meeting will be held on February 25. While AI Causes Climate Change, Nvidia Scientist Proposes AI-Powered Firefighting Robots
While California burns, a scientist from the world's biggest artificial intelligence chipmaker is suggesting that AI could help fight the wildfires even though the technology has already begun degrading the environment, and is slated to do much more.In a post on X-formerly-Twitter featuring a video of a humanoid robot walking down a street in China, Nvidia "embodied AI" researcher Jim Fan suggested, after complimenting the bot's "swag," that such machines need "to go fire-fighting asap!"Unfortunately, that tone-deaf suggestion isn't the only Nvidia blunder that occurred during this week's fires in Los Angeles. As the gaming site Aftermath notes, this year's Consumer Electronics Show took place in Las Vegas, a five-hour drive away from the wildfire-stricken city of angels. At the convention, the chipmaker showcased some really stupid generative AI gambits like its "Neural Faces" tech, which purports to "cross the uncanny valley" by changing video game characters' faces all while eating up a ton of carbon-emission-causing electricity and water, both intrinsically linked to the devastation in LA.It'd be one thing if LA weren't literally on fire. But for the company to boast about energy-intensive crap that nobody wants while people lose their homes and lives just one state over is, asAftermath suggests, feels beyond the pale.WhileAI alone can't be blamed for the blazes that ripped through the Los Angeles area this past week, new findings out of the University of California, Riverside and Caltech which is itself located just a few miles from the fire-leveled town of Altadena show how harmful AI has already become. As those Golden State scientists suggest in a not-yet-peer-reviewed paper, AI is not only drinking up tons of water to cool data centers, but has already begun escalating carbon emissions and water consumption. Though that paper focuses more on AI's impact on public health, it notes, as so many others have, that the technology is already proving harmful and that it will only get worse as it grows.Remember, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is seekingtrillions of dollars in infrastructure to power the industry he envisions. And for every well-intentioned scientist like Fan, there are a dozen others looking to make a quick buck from worthless "innovations" that come with a hefty environmental price tag.At the end of the day, an Nvidia scientist suggesting that AI can help solve these climate change-fueled fires feels akin (albeit on a smaller scale) to oil companies selling so-called "carbon credits" that purport dubiously, critics say to offset greenhouse gas emissions.Though there are obviously much worse polluters in the world right now than AI companies, it won't stay that way if the industry continues to grow at its current speed and if that happens, there's little doubt that more Earth will be scorched.More on AI and the environment: People Think the Hollywood Sign Is on Fire Because of AI SlopShare This Article
