  • Here are all the IPOs reported to be in the works for 2025
    techcrunch.com
Tech is upbeat about more companies going public this year, thanks in part to a new presidential administration that has promised to ease regulations and embrace industries like crypto and AI.But there were already early signs of bullishness especially in fintech thanks to the wildly successful 2024 IPO of ServiceTitan, a SaaS platform for the trades.TechCrunch has compiled a chronological list of companies that have either announced that they plan to go public this year or have been reported to have confidentially filed for a 2025 IPO. And weve also included those that filed as far back as 2023 and could finally go public this year. The confidential filing process allows companies to submit their registration documents to regulators without making them public. But companies can delay or even withdraw their filings, depending on market conditions.Filed in 2025eToro: The Israel-based trading platform filed confidentially in January 2025, reportedly seeking a $5 billion valuation.Voyager Technologies: The space and defense tech startup confidentially filed in January 2025 and will likely be valued between $2 billion and $3 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported. The company, based in Denver, sells a wide variety of defense and space-based solutions, from propulsion technologies to airlocks.Karman Holdings: Another space and defense startup, Karman confidentially filed to go public in January 2025 and aims to raise up to $100 million in an IPO, it announced. The company, which specializes in missile technology, is based in Huntington Beach, California, and could be valued at $3 billion or more, Bloomberg reported. In the works since 2024Chime: The digital bank confidentially filed to IPO in December 2024 and is looking to go public in 2025. The company, which is based in San Francisco, was last valued at $25 billion in 2021.Klarna: The Swedish buy now, pay later (BNPL) fintech confidentially filed in November 2024 for an IPO thats been a long time in the making, paving the way for it to go public sometime in the first half of 2025. Klarnas valuation rose to $14.6 billion in 2024.Genesys: The AI cloud startup announced its confidential filing in October 2024. The company is based in Menlo Park, California, and was most recently valued at $21 billion in 2021, it said in a press release at the time. The company is eyeing a 2025 IPO that could raise as much as $2 billion, Bloomberg previously reported.Clario: The clinical trial software provider confidentially filed in June 2024 seeking a $10 billion valuation. The company, based in Philadelphia, is looking to go public in 2025, Bloomberg reported.Cerebras: The chip startup that aims to compete with Nvidia confidentially filed to IPO in August 2024, it announced. The company is based in Sunnyvale and is reportedly aiming to roughly double its current $4 billion valuation. The startups plans are facing potential delays due to concerns from U.S. regulators about its close ties to G42, a UAE investor and its main customer, Reuters reported. Fun fact: OpenAI once considered buying Cerebras around 2017.Circle: The New York-based stablecoin provider filed confidentially in January 2024. While the exact timing remains unclear, in October 2024, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire told Bloomberg it remained very committed to going public despite prior delays. President Trumps embrace of crypto and promise to end government crackdowns on the industry could bolster its chances. The companys valuation is around $5 billion according to stock thats been trading on the secondary market, Coindesk reported.Harrys: The New York-based consumer company, which makes razors and other personal care items for men, has confidentially filed to go public, Reuters reported in March 2024, citing sources that the firm was nearing $1 billion in revenue and is profitable. It reportedly filed confidentially to IPO in the U.K. in 2024 and is still seeking to IPO as of 2025, although its U.K. foray is also meeting resistance from lawmakers there. Shein, headquartered in Singapore and with operations in China, was last valued at $45 billion in 2024, dropping from a $100 billion valuation in 2022.General Atlantic: The San Francisco-based growth equity investor, which has backed firms like Facebook and Airbnb, confidentially filed to go public in 2023, Bloomberg reported. • PlayStation Is HBO, Microsoft Is Netflix, Nintendo Is Disney, Says Ex-Sony Exec
    www.forbes.com
AvowedObsidianAdam Boyes, VP of third party relations at PlayStation from 2012-2016 was the co-star of the infamous this is how you share games on PlayStation video that targeted Microsofts new Xbox One disc rights policies that they were pummeled into ultimately removing. Now, ten years later, Boyes spoke to Gamertag Radio for a lengthy interview, and is not combative about his former rival, indicating what Xbox is doing seems logical and that there are no victims in its new multiplatform distribution plan for former exclusives.I understand why people have feelings about it and opinions, because their idea is the identity of me choosing a brand and being beholden to that brand is unilateral, and therefore that should be the one source of all content, Boyes said.He believes the current ecosystem of the console/games space has fundamentally changed, and he uses an interesting metaphor to describe it:So if we think about that, the analogy that maybe PlayStation is HBO, Microsoft is Netflix, and Nintendo is Disney, then their job is to get incredibly interactive and engaging entertainment out to as many people as possible.Living room with Microsoft Xbox Series X (L) and Sony PlayStation 5 home video game consoles ... [+] alongside a television and soundbar, taken on November 3, 2020. (Photo by Phil Barker/Future Publishing via Getty Images)Future Publishing via Getty Images via Getty ImagesMORE FOR YOUThe metaphor doesnt quite work as all three of these are streaming services, and Netflix is not giving its content to other places, but I get what hes saying. HBO is known for producing high quality original series that air on its service. Netflix pioneered the subscription streaming model in the way Microsoft is trying to do with Game Pass. Nintendo being Disney is kind of an obvious comparison with its mass family appeal. The one thing he does admit is that while Microsofts software strategy makes sense in a lot of ways, there is probably going to be an obvious challenge to continue to make the case for its hardware, where we have seen sales drop precipitously every time new numbers are revealed. As it stands, heres where things are in terms of strategy for each brand:PlayStation: PS console exclusive single player games that launch on PC 2+ years later, multiplayer games that launch same-day on PC (a few on Xbox to come, like Marathon)Xbox: Every game on the table for cross-platform release on PlayStation and/or Switch 2. Depending on the title, this can be same day, time delay or some indefinite point in the future, if ever. Appeal for MS loyalists is same day on Xbox Game Pass launches.Nintendo: Doing what Nintendo always done with beloved first party games. Will get more third party games and some Xbox games with the launch of Switch 2.As you can see, the console war is not what it used to be. Xbox lost, but is trying to be a leader in the subscription space. Nintendo just sold more consoles than they ever have. Sony is still putting out many critical hits but its tough to balance big single player budgets and successful multiplayer releases. Well see where things go from here. • WhatsApp Says Paragon Solutions Targeted Journalists and Civil Society Members
    techreport.com
Key TakeawaysParagon Solutions targeted around 90 WhatsApp users, mainly journalists and civil society members across 20+ countries.WhatsApp successfully disrupted the attack and sent a cease-and-desist letter to Paragon.Meta referred affected users to Citizen Lab Paragon Solutions and the FBI has not commented on the issue. On Jan 31, WhatsApp said that around 90 users were targeted in a spyware campaign by Paragon Solutions, an Israeli spyware company. These users mainly included journalists and civil society members in more than 20 countries, adding to the concerns about spyware misuse on the platform.WhatsApp was able to successfully disrupt this exploitation vector and took prompt action to salvage the situation as quickly as possible. It officially announced on Friday that it has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Paragon following this hack.Additionally, the meta-owned company sent an immediate comment request to Paragon regarding this case but nothing has yet been heard from the company. Even the FBI has maintained silence on the matter till now.A spokesperson from WhatsApp said that a vector method was used to illegally access the data of a network or target users. In this campaign, the affected users received malicious PDFs in WhatsApp groups through their spyware Graphite.Whats scary about this spyware is that it works on a zero-click mechanism, meaning the users dont even have to interact with the malicious file or link. Just the entrance of the file into the device makes encrypted messages, calls, and other sensitive data available to be exploited at the hands of the hacker company.WhatsApp took Countermeasures by Informing Citizen LabWhile the location or people involved in this case have not been revealed as of now, Meta has referred affected users to the cyber security lab, Citizen Lab. A senior researcher from the lab said that the hack was so dangerous that it could turn a telephone into a spy in your pocket.A similar case to this one showed up in 2019 when WhatsApp sued the Israeli surveillance firm NSO group under an allegation of hacking thousands of accounts, including those of journalists, diplomats, politicians, and senior government officials. The chat service worked alongside Citizen Lab to sort out the situation the judgment was in favor of WhatsApp for that case. An intriguing string that follows into this case is that one of the competitors of that NSO group acquired Paragon Solutions in the same month that the US judgment was passed. So, theres enough reason to believe that the two incidents are liked.Natalia Krapiva, senior tech-legal counsel at the internet access nonprofit Access Now, said that the industry needs more proactive laws and reign in tech as there are not enough self-policing measures around.Last time WhatsApp notified NSO victims in 2019, we have seen a flood of lawsuits, sanctions, and other consequences for this industry. Natalia KrapivaItll be interesting to see what legal actions are taken against Paragon for interrupting the security of one of the most secure online chatting platforms.Add Techreport to Your Google News Feed Get the latest updates, trends, and insights delivered straight to your fingertips. • Google Sheets now offers AI-powered charts and data analysis
    www.techspot.com
TL;DR: Google has unveiled a significant upgrade to Gemini for Google Sheets, enhancing its AI capabilities to streamline data analysis and visualization. This upgrade is part of Google's broader efforts to update Workspace, integrating AI features in other applications such as Gmail, Docs, Chat, and Meet. The updated Gemini can now provide in-depth insights into trends, patterns, and correlations within spreadsheet data. For instance, a marketing manager can ask Gemini to analyze the top three performing channels by conversion rate and receive a breakdown with supporting visualizations. Similarly, a financial analyst can prompt the AI to identify anomalies in inventory levels for a specific product, potentially uncovering supply chain issues or unusual demand patterns. One of the most notable additions is Gemini's ability to generate graphs based on spreadsheet data. Users can instruct the AI to create visual representations, such as a chart of segments by monthly recurring revenue, which they can then insert as static images.Another cool feature is the ability to translate user requests into Python code, execute it, and analyze the results. Users now have access to more complex data analysis without writing code manually, making this function available to a broader range of users. However, the update has some limitations. The AI-generated charts are static images that do not automatically update when the underlying data changes. Users must create a new graphic every time they modify the data. Google says that for optimal results, data should be well-structured with clear headers and no missing values. Gemini's performance is most consistent in files below one million cells for complex analysis.Google issued the update on January 29 in a slow rollout expected to conclude by February 20, 2025. Users of Google Workspace Business with Gemini Education add-ons and Google One AI Premium subscribers will be the first to receive the update, with integration coming to other Google products later. Users can access Gemini in Sheets by clicking on the "Ask Gemini" button in the top right corner of the application. // Related StoriesGoogle has gradually integrated AI tools across its product suite, enhancing productivity and collaboration for various user groups. Last month, its latest advanced artificial intelligence rolled out across its Workspace suite, including Gmail, Docs, Meet, and Chat. That update also introduced Gemini Advanced, which supports complex professional tasks like research and coding. It has a research assistant feature called "NotebookLM Plus," which teams can use to upload sources, generate insights, and create collaborative learning resources.

  • 7 greatest Oscar snubs of the last 10 years, ranked

Table of ContentsTable of Contents7. 2015 Whiplash and Boyhood lose to Birdman in Best Picture6. 2020 Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers passed over for Best Supporting Actress5. 2015 Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler left out of Best Actor4. 2020 Adam Sandler left out of Best Actor for Uncut Gems3. 2017 Amy Adams in Arrival kept out of Best Actress2. 2019 Rami Malek defeats Bradley Cooper in Best Actor1. 2019 Roma, A Star is Born, and more lose to Green Book in Best PictureNot everyone can win an Oscar. Frankly, not everyoneshouldwin Oscars. Thats why winning an Academy Award is arguably the highest honor one can win in the film industry. Getting nominated is a win in and of itself. With only a finite amount of nominees, there are bound to be snubs. Frankly, snubs is kind of an ugly term because it implies one actor, movie, or craftsperson deserves an award more than someone else. Its subjective, making it difficult to judge. However, there are some glaring omissions in the Academy Awards long history.Saving Private Ryanlosing to ShakespeareinLove,Dances with WolvesdefeatingGoodfellas, andHoop Dreams failure to receive a documentary nomination are some of the more famous omissions in Oscar history. Some of these snubs even happened within the past decade. Here are the seven greatest Oscar snubs of the last 10 years.Recommended VideosSearchlight PicturesBy no means is BirdmanBirdman to Best Picture at the 2015 Oscars.RelatedHeres the catch: when a more innovative film like Boyhood Richard Linklaters examination of a boys journey from childhood to adolescence shot over 10 years or an exhilarating story like Whiplash Damien Chazelles depiction of a jazz drummers quest to greatness are in the same category,Birdmanwill always feel inferior to those two. In a perfect world, Keaton wins Best Actor over Eddie Redmayne, and WhiplashorBoyhoodtakes home Best Picture.STXfilmsJennifer Lopez did everything in her power to secure an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2020 Oscars. Lopez even wore her iconic Versace dress from the 2000 Grammys at the brands spring fashion show. Unfortunately, the Academy did not want a little extra star power at their ceremony.Celebrity aside, Lopez in Hustlersis right up there withOut of Sightfor her best performance in a movie. Lopez plays Ramona Vega, a veteran stripper who creates a scheme to steal money from wealthy clients after the financial crisis of 2007-2008 strikes. Smart, confident, and funny, Lopez shined as the Robin Hood-esque figure with heart. The Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and SAG Awards nominated Lopez for supporting actress. Yet the Academy had other plans.Open Road FilmsJake Gyllenhaal went full psycho to play Louis Bloom in Nightcrawler.Louis begins Dan Gilroys thriller as a petty criminal struggling to make ends meet. After meeting a stringer (the late Bill Paxton) at a car crash, Louis becomes a videographer, hoping to sell his footage to local news stations for cash. With a camera and a police scanner, Louis scours the Los Angeles night for criminal activity to film.Gyllenhaal has never been more committed to a role, even losing 30 pounds to play this nocturnal figure. Gyllenhaal even broke a mirror during a take, requiring him to receive medical attention. Its a creepy, spellbinding performance from Gyllenhaal, who somehow injects Louis with some charm and humanity. Gyllenhaal received acting nominations at the BAFTAs, SAGs, Golden Globes, and Critics Choice. How come, Academy? (In the style of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri)A24The Academy has never known how to treat comedians who switch sides and cross into dramas. The best example is Jim Carrey and his career-defining work in The Truman Show. Carrey won the Golden Globe for his portrayal of Truman Burbank. Yet the Academy didnt even nominate Carrey for Best Actor at the Oscars. History repeated itself in 2020 with a different comedian, Adam Sandler, and his wild thriller, Uncut Gems.Directed by the Safdie Brothers,Uncut Gemsfollows Howard Ratner, a Jewish jeweler with a gambling addiction. Facing serious debt, Ratner risks it all on a lucrative parlay involving Boston Celtics center Kevin Garnett.Uncut Gemsis another example of when paired with the right script and director, Sandler is a fantastic dramatic actor. Its time to take Sandler more seriously, Academy.Paramount PicturesDid you know that Amy Adams has been nominated for six Oscars? That is the second most nominations by an actress without winning, trailing Glenn Close who has eight. Still, Adams must be doing something right to at least get an invite to the esteemed awards show. Given the Academys adoration for Adams, its baffling that the six-time nominee was left out of Best Actress for Arrival.Directed by Denis Villeneuve,Arrivalfollows linguistics professor Louise Banks (Adams) and her efforts to establish contact with the extraterrestrial creatures who landed on Earth. Arrivalis one of the best movies of the 2010s, backed by Adams emotionally moving and quietly powerful performance. Seeing how the Academy left Villeneuve out of Best Director for two Dune movies makes more sense as to why they overlooked Adams in 2017. Regardless, that doesnt make it right.Warner Bros. PicturesNo rule states actors must use their voices or learn to play instruments to give Academy Award-worthy performances. Raydid not use Jamie Foxxs singing voice for Ray Charles music, and he still won a much-deserved Oscar. The same goes forBohemian Rhapsody, which did not use Rami Maleks singing voice in the Queensongs performed by Freddie Mercury. However, there should be a rule that when choosing who wins an award between two actors in musical movies, the nod should go to the performer who actually used their own voice. All of that to say, the Academy should have awarded Best Actor to Bradley Cooper over Malek. For A Star Is Born, Cooper took vocal lessons for six months, learned how to play multiple instruments, wrote several original songs, and performed live in front of crowds at festivals like the Glastonbury Festival. That effort shouldhave resulted in Coopers first actor.Universal PicturesGreen Bookis a solid movie. It has its flaws, especially in terms of how it handles race. However, its a rather charming film, especially in the interactions between Viggo Mortensens Tony Lip and Mahershala Alis Don Shirley. Green Bookworks better as a story about friendship than one about racial relations in the 1960s. The Peter Farrelly-directed film would have a much better reputation had it not won Best Picture. The reality is Green Bookdid indeed win Best Pictureand instantly became one of the awards weakest recipients of the 21st century. Roma, the years prohibitive favorite, A Star Is Born,BlacKKKlansman,Black Panther, andThe Favouritewould have all been formidable winners that year. Part of me believes Romasloss was the Academys way of telling Netflix, a streaming service, that they dont belong at this ceremony.Editors Recommendations

As such, its perfectly placed to take on the Apple iPhone 16 Plus, both in terms of specs and price. Both offer a lot to love, but is one distinctly better than the other? The Galaxy S25 Plus boasts a powerful processor, a stunning display, and a versatile camera system. At the same time, the iPhone 16 Plus is known for its sleek design, user-friendly interface, and heavy integration with the Apple ecosystem. The Galaxy S25 Plus, the newer of the two, showcases Samsungs refined design language with its sleek, rounded metal frame, and smooth glass back. The iPhone 16 Plus is similarly elegantly crafted, featuring rounded corners, well-executed buttons, and a stunning glass back.RelatedDespite its size, the iPhone 16 Plus offers a comfortable grip when used without a case. Although we have not yet reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, we expect a similar grip experience. Both are available in vibrant and stylish colors. The Galaxy S25 Plus comes in IcyBlueNavy, Mint, SilverShadow, Coralred, Blueblack, and Pinkgold, while the iPhone 16 Plus offers Teal, Ultramarine, Pink, and classic Black and White options. Both devices have vertically arranged rear cameras. The Galaxy S25 Plus features a triple-camera setup, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a dual-camera configuration.Regarding displays, both phones feature expansive screens with vibrant colors and high resolutions. The Galaxy S25 Plus boasts a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which enables smooth scrolling and animations. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Plus is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, known for its color accuracy and high peak brightness, but it has a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, which is disappointing for a phone in 2025.Ultimately, while the Galaxy S25 Plus offers a more fluid user experience due to its higher refresh rate, the iPhone 16 Plus prioritizes image quality and outdoor visibility. Its hard to determine which phone is superior in terms of design. However, the Galaxy S25 Plus has the edge in this comparison due to its better refresh rate.Winner: Samsung Galaxy S25 PlusNirave Gondhia / Digital TrendsRegarding raw performance, the Galaxy S25 Plus and iPhone 16 Plus are closely matched, each equipped with impressive processors. The Galaxy S25 Plus features the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a customized version of Qualcomms latest chipset. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Plus is powered by Apples A18 chip, renowned for its exceptional performance and efficiency. Benchmarks reveal the Snapdragon chip has a slight advantage in both single-core and multi-core performance. This results in quicker everyday tasks, faster app launches, and better performance for demanding gaming and intensive multitasking activities. However, this does not imply that the A18 in the iPhone 16 Plus is an inferior chip. Both phones are incredibly high-speed and responsive for typical tasks like browsing, social media, and photography. Nonetheless, the Snapdragon chip gives the Galaxy S25 Plus a slight edge in performance overall.Winner: Samsung Galaxy S25 PlusAndy Boxall / Digital TrendsThe Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and the Apple iPhone 16 Plus feature impressive camera systems with unique strengths. The Galaxy S25 Plus has a versatile triple camera setup, including a high-resolution main sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a telephoto lens, offering flexibility for various scenes. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Plus uses a dual camera system with a primary and ultrawide lens. While it lacks a telephoto option, Apples computational photography enhances image quality and portrait effects. We have not yet tested the Samsung phone, so direct comparisons are difficult. However, the camera specs on the Galaxy S25 Plus are similar to the ones on its predecessor, the Galaxy S24, which we compared to the iPhone 16, which has the same camera system as the iPhone 16 Plus. In that comparison, we favor the iPhone 16, due to the new Camera Control button. This button is not just a physical feature; it also includes a capacitive sensor on its top. By lightly double-pressing the Camera Control while the camera is open, a new user interface appears, allowing you to select camera controls such as exposure, zoom, and styles. You can swipe your finger across the Camera Control to cycle through these options, lightly press the button to select one, and then slide your finger again to adjust the chosen setting. While there might be a slight learning curve, this new experience is enjoyable and will not take long to master. In practice, the camera system on the Galaxy S25 Plus may outperform the one on the iPhone 16 Plus, but we wont know for sure until we conduct direct comparisons. However, based on our past experiences with similar models, Apples phone currently holds the edge.Winner: Apple iPhone 16 PlusDark icons Andy Boxall / Digital TrendsWhen comparing the Galaxy S25 Plus and the Galaxy S24 Plus, youll notice that their battery capacities are similar. Although the new Galaxy S25 Plus features a more efficient chip, this is unlikely to impact overall battery performance, and may improve it. The S24 Plus averaged around two days of use on a single charge, so itll be great if the S25 Plus equals or exceeds this feat. The iPhone 16 Plus doesnt have as large a capacity in real terms, but it still delivers strong battery life, managing a strong days worth of life on one charge. In terms of charging, the Galaxy S25 Plus offers faster wired charging speeds, allowing for quicker recharging when needed. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Plus features MagSafe technology, which provides faster wireless charging, making it convenient to charge without cables.Ultimately, the best choice for you in terms of charging will depend on your charging preferences. The Galaxy S25 Plus is better if you value fast wired charging. However, if you prefer the convenience and speed of wireless charging with MagSafe, the iPhone 16 Plus is the way to go.So the Apple phone has an edge for us in terms of charging, but the S25 Pluss battery life may well blow it out of the water if it manages to be as long-lived as its predecessor. Were going to give this to the Samsung phone for now.Winner: Samsung Galaxy S25 PlusNirave Gondhia / Digital TrendsThe Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and Apple iPhone 16 Plus offer distinct software experiences and update policies. The Galaxy S25 Plus runs on Android 15 with Samsungs new One UI 7, providing a feature-rich and customizable interface. The iPhone 16 Plus, on the other hand, features Apples iOS 18, which is known for its simplicity and user-friendliness. It also features Apple Intelligence, Apples new AI tool, one of the few iPhones currently to do so. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series also features impressive AI capabilities that enhance user experience and simplify daily tasks.Samsung has made significant strides in terms of updates. It now promises an impressive seven years of software updates and security patches for the Galaxy S25 Plus, ensuring your device will remain up-to-date and secure for years. While Apple doesnt explicitly state a specific timeframe, iPhones typically receive five to six years of software updates. If you dont have a strong preference for either Android or iOSwhich is quite rareor if youre looking for a phone that will receive long-term support, the Galaxy S25 Plus stands out. However, very few consumers will likely switch back and forth between the two operating systems. With that in mind, both phones offer impressive software features and generous updates and support.Winner: TieThe Galaxy S25 Plus is available in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB, with prices starting at $1,000. Both versions come with 12GB of RAM. In comparison, the iPhone 16 Plus offers storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, with a starting price of $900 and includes 8GB of RAM.The iPhone 16 Plus is generally easier to find as an older model. However, the Galaxy S25 Plus will soon be available worldwide, so look for attractive discounts on both phones.Nirave Gondhia / Digital TrendsWhen comparing these two phones, it can be difficult to declare one as better, as the choice ultimately depends on your needs and preferences. However, several distinguishing factors, both positive and negative, set them apart. The Samsung S25 Plus features a more versatile camera system, including a telephoto lens that enables optical zoom. This capability provides greater flexibility in capturing various shots, whereas the iPhone 16 Plus primarily relies on digital zoom. Additionally, the Samsung phone has a vibrant AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, resulting in smoother scrolling, animations, and a more fluid user experience than the standard 60Hz display on the iPhone 16 Plus.Benchmark tests indicate that the chip in Samsungs phone outperforms the one in the iPhone 16 Plus by a slight margin. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pluss significant advantage is its seamless integration within the Apple ecosystem. It works effectively with devices like the iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, offering a cohesive experience for those who value interoperability.Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Plus provides better wireless charging capabilities and offers a 128GB model, among other features.Ultimately, the best choice between these two phones depends on your needs and priorities. Consider which features matter most to you, and select the phone that aligns best with those preferences.Pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus:Buy the Apple iPhone 16 Plus:Editors Recommendations

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman says he is moving his management company out of Delaware. It follows similar statements from companies like DropBox, Meta, and SpaceX.Some corporations are turning against Delaware, historically considered a business-friendly state.Bill Ackman, the billionaire CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, says he will move his management company out of Delaware to reincorporate in Nevada. His announcement, which came in a post on X on Saturday morning, was in response to news that DropBox was making a similar move. "We are reincorporating our management company in Nevada for the same reason. Top law firms are recommending Nevada and Texas over Delaware," Ackman said.Pershing Square Capital Management declined to comment further.Other high-profile public companies have also announced their exit from Delaware, former President Joe Biden's home state, over the last year as some corporations turn against the historically business-friendly state.Tesla CEO Elon Musk spent much of 2024 encouraging companies incorporated in Delaware to leave after a judge repeatedly struck down his $55 billion Tesla compensation package, which a shareholder lawsuit argued was excessive. The decision prompted Musk to move SpaceX to Texas.Much of the concern for these established public companies is a series of recent Delaware court rulings, including the one on Musk's pay package, that further empower shareholders to challenge executive decisions.Meta, which maintains a corporate structure that gives CEO Mark Zuckerberg near total control, said it was also considering leaving Delaware to reincorporate in Texas or another state, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.Billionaire CEOs like Ackman, Zuckerberg, and Musk hope that courts in other states, such as Texas or Nevada, will be less permissive of lawsuits from shareholders and boards of directors.
