Expect the monster to always be trying to charge against you and trying to close the distance with any nearby hunter. If its wings are open, which make them look more like a cape, you can expect Gore to be quite agile in its movements, flying rapidly upwards and landing towards you for an attack. Something to keep in mind is that Gores attacks usually include multiple movements, meaning that if you dont dodge in time, you might be stuck in the subsequent animations and be dragged with the creature, receiving more damage. The upside of the wings being so big is that theyre an easy target. Which is great, considering both wings can be broken. In general, you should be trying to face Gore Magala from the front. The monster is quick to react whenever somebody attacks its rear end, especially the tail, with a tough counter where it swings its claws around while turning. Sure, it might try to bite you, but its easier to see coming. If you see Gores wings going purple, be careful, as this indicates Frenzy. If the Frenzy virus takes effect, youll temporarily take more damage, and will no longer regenerate health naturally. To counter this, you can use a nulberry or a hot drink, so make sure to grab a few for your pouch. If you have access to the antivirus skill, even better, but the alternative methods will do just fine.During this state, the monster will gain a few more attacks. Most of its regular moves will leave a cloud of sorts that can kick the virus into effect. Itll also be more prone to charge, as well as do ground-slam-style moves. If it uses its claws, expect multiple attacks in quick succession. Alongside the usual wound control and dodging attacks as much as possible, remember to use traps. The key is to try and get the monster to ground as often as possible to make it easier to attack. If its spending a long time in the air, set up a trap and bait it toward you. If you can time a dodge just right, theyll hit the trap instead. Both shock and pitfall traps will do the trick.Gore Magala dropsIf youre wondering what the Gore Magala drops in Monster Hunter Wilds are, you can find a handy list below:High Rank materialsMaterialAvailability/ProbabilityFrequencySourceGore Magala Wing+Target rewards (x1/13%).
