The California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO) has named Marc Swackhamer as the new Dean of the institutions College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED). Taking effect on August 18th of this year, the role will see Swackhamer oversee disciplines including architecture, architectural engineering, city and regional planning, construction management, and landscape architecture.Swackhamer currently chairs the Architecture Department at CU Denver, before which he spent 15 years in various roles at the University of Minnesotas College of Design.
