Fernando Romero reopens Barragn-designed La Cuadra San Cristbal as a space for Mexico's artistic future

The nonprofit entity ofFR-EEfounderFernando Romero has shared images ahead of its takeover of the Luis Barragn-designed Casa La Cuadra San Cristbal in Mexico City following a renovation and expansion. The Casa will reopen this October as an incubator and educational center for art and architecture with a focus on the rich design legacy left by Barragn throughout the country.Romero related to Hyperallergic recently that the property, which had first been acquired in 2017, was at one time under demolition threat.
