Ubiquiti continues to be a leader in the enterprise networking industry with three new 10-gigabit UniFi Cloud Gateways designed to future-proof networks. In the last five years, the company has been on a roll with new products and services; these new gateways are a prime example. Ive had great experience over the years with Apple fleets and UniFi networking, so lets take a look at each of them.Dream Router 7 (UDR7)The Dream Router 7 (UDR7) builds on its predecessors success with a compact design that doesnt cut corners on performance. In fact, the power that comes for this price point is pretty incredible. It features a 2.5GbE PoE switch, SD-card storage (for cameras), integrated power supply, and a super-antenna system for high-performance Wi-Fi 7. With 10Gbps support, it can handle some pretty demanding environments. You can buy it directly from the Ubiquiti store.Cloud Gateway Fiber (UCG-Fiber)If youre after raw performance with one of the new models, the new Cloud Gateway Fiber UCG-Fiber offers Dream Machine Pro-level power in a smaller footprint. It includes SFP+ and 10GbE ethernet ports with a built-in PoE 2.5GbE switch. Add in m.2 NVMe support for UniFi Protect storage, and you have a great option for those looking to streamline their network without sacrificing speed. It would make for an incredible branch router for retail, hospitality, etc.You can buy it directly from the Ubiquiti store.UniFi Express 7 (UX7)The new UniFi Express 7 can serve as a cloud gateway, a wired access point, or extend coverage as a mesh node to an existing network. Under the hood, it supports 6-stream 6GHz Wi-Fi and 10GbE wired networking, making it ready for small but demanding networks right out of the box. If you have an ISP speed above 1GB, you should be able to push the performance to 3-4GbpsYou can buy it directly from the Ubiquiti store.Wrap upOverall, it is another solid release from the Ubiquiti team. They continue to release products to meet the needs of the high-end consumer and the enterprise. While these new products are aimed at prosumer and branch-size locations, Ive been continually impressed with the variety of hardware the company has released in the past five years. On the flip side, theyve also leveled up their software quality while expanding support options (which used to be a knock against Ubiquiti). As more and more new networking features are built into the chips, the reasons to buy anything but Ubiquiti outside of specialized environments get smaller by the year. All of the new products can be bought directly from Ubiquitis online store.
