Forza is on the horizon for PS5 (Microsoft)Xbox games Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones And The Great Circle might both be coming to PS5 in April, but dont expect physical editions.A bunch of Xbox games have already made their way to other consoles over the last few years, as part of Microsofts multiplatform strategy, and were not far away from the next batch.Forza Horizon 5, which originally came out in 2021 on Xbox and PC, has received an official release date of April 29, 2025 on PlayStation 5.The standard edition is surprisingly expensive at 54.99, while if you pre-order the premium edition, at an ungodly 84.99, youll get four days early access from April 25. This also includes the games expansions, Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, and additional cars and other extras via the Welcome Pack, Car Pass, and VIP Membership. As noted in a new trailer, Forza Horizon 5 is also getting a new update called Horizon Realms on April 25, which will add 11 previously limited time locations from its Evolving World updates (from the Neon Airstrip to Winter Wonderland), and a new stadium track called Horizon Stadium Circuit. However, some fans are miffed at the lack of any physical edition for the PlayStation 5. In a post on X, developer Playground Games confirmed it had nothing planned for a physical disc release, in what might be a reflection of Xboxs drift away from physical games in recent years. This has been a dealbreaker for some players. Confirmed skip for me then, wrote one X user, while another added: PLEASE reconsider.More TrendingIts unclear, however, if this will apply to Indiana Jones And The Great Circle. The Xbox exclusive is set to launch on PlayStation 5 in spring 2025, and while an exact date hasnt yet been announced, a report on The Verge states Microsoft is targeting April release for the title, which suggests it might get the same digital-only treatment. If both games do come out in April its a slightly bizarre move, if Xbox is looking to maximise profits, and almost seems like theyre trying to purposefully undermine the PlayStation versions.Microsoft has a stacked few months ahead across all consoles, between South Of Midnight on April 8 and Doom: The Dark Ages on May 15. Just dont expect Fable anytime soon.
