Sonys glossophobia strikes again (Sony)Compensation for last months PlayStation Network fiasco is finally being sent out, so heres how to check if youve received yours.Nearly a month after the PlayStation Network suffered another major outage, players are only now being reimbursed for the inconvenience.On February 8, the service went down for almost 24 hours, leaving people unable to play online games like Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6, which require a PS Plus subscription, along with some games that dont, like Fortnite and Roblox. It also affected the PlayStation Store and prevented some people from accessing their digital library of games entirely.To restore some goodwill, Sony promised to gift all PS Plus subscribers five additional days for free something which is now being rolled out to players.How to get your free PS Plus compensation daysWhile Sony hasnt made any announcement in regards to the rollout (which isnt exactly unusual for them nowadays) several players on Reddit have reported being sent their compensation.You should receive your five additional days of PS Plus automatically. Its important to note youre only entitled to compensation if you were subscribed to PS Plus during the time of the outage (February 8), so anyone without a subscription at that time is out of luck.Some players, however, have apparently received the compensation despite not being affected, so it might be worth checking if youve had free days added anyway. More time for hunting (Capcom)To check if youve received your five extra days, login to the PS Store here. Once youre logged in, click on your avatar icon in the top right-hand corner, and select Subscriptions Management.More TrendingIf the next payment date on your subscription is five days later than the expiry date on your most recent PS Plus payment receipt (which you can find in your inbox), then you have received your compensation.If you havent yet received it, dont panic. It seems Sony is in the process of doling them out to players, so check back in the coming days.As for why the outage happened, Sony has only cited a vague operational issue as the cause, which isnt exactly reassuring. This isnt the first time PSN has crumbled to its knees either, after the network went down for 23 days in April 2011.
