Severances hit second season continues to set record numbers for Apple TV+, and as part of the ongoing marketing blitz, Ben Stiller was on Jimmy Kimmel last night. During his appearance, he revealed that a Severance guest role in season twos premiere was originally offered to former President Barack Obama.In the Severance season two premiere, theres a stop-motion Lumon propaganda video that involves a talking Lumon building.Its previously been revealed that Keanu Reeves was the voice of the animated building.But now thanks to Ben Stiller, we know that one person was asked before Reeves.Who was it?President Barack Obama.Stiller tells the story of how he emailed the former president through his lawyer, then got a personal response:I get an email back from President Barack Obama saying, Hey Ben, big fan of the show. Love season one, cant wait for season two. Dont think I have time in my schedule to make this happen.It would have been quite the get for Severance to land President Obama for the part, however small it may be.As Stiller mentions though, perhaps he had more important things to do than voice an animated Lumon building.You can watch the full video below.Maybe President Obama will end up clearing some time for a cameo in season 3 of Severance, which is currently in the works.At a minimum, its fun to think hes just as tuned in as the rest of us.Did you know Keanu Reeves had voiced the Lumon building?
