Half of architects have experimented with artificial intelligence but have not started using it regularly, according to findings from an AIA survey. According to the AIAs report, which can be downloaded here for free, only 6% of the profession regularly uses AI for their jobs, with the most common applications being chatbots, image generators, and grammar/text analytics.Other findings related to the adoption of AI were that experimentation and usage of AI are driven significantly more by architects under 50, and that only 8% of firms have implemented AI solutions into their practice. A further 20% are currently working on implementing solutions; a trend driven significantly more by large firms of more than 50 employees.On the perceptions of AI in the industry, the AIA found that three-quarters of the profession are optimistic about AI automating manual tasks, while 69% expect it to offer inspiration.
