Cindy Pritzker, the noted Chicago-area philanthropist who co-founded the Pritzker Prize through the Hyatt Foundation in 1978, has died at age 101.Her contributions include playing a decisive role in the development of the Frank Gehry-designed Jay Pritzker Pavilion bandshell, Harold Washington Library Center, and a major expansion of the citys library system after 1994. Her son Tom Pritzkers alleged role in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal drew controversy to the award after being divulged last year.
