A new Apple TV 4K model.He writes that the next generation Apple TV 4K is planned for release toward the end of the year.Apple usually has a couple big launches in the fall:September brings new iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods modelsthen October focuses on the Mac, and sometimes the iPad and miscellaneous other productsIn 2024, Apple eschewed the traditional event format for its Mac launches, instead announcing its first M4 Macs over three separate days.Those new Macs then shipped to users in early November.It sounds like, based on Gurmans report, that the new Apple TV 4K should arrive in October or November.October may be the announcement timing, but its always possible it will actually ship in November like new Macs sometimes do.This would end up being almost exactly three years after the last Apple TV update.Features to expect from the new Apple TV 4KSo far, not much is known about what new features Apple is planning for its next-gen Apple TV 4K.We know its expected to include a new Apple-made Wi-Fi modem, which could lead to networking improvements with Apples expanding Home device ecosystem.Outside of that, support for some level of Apple Intelligence features is expectedand hoped for.I hope to see the Netflix catalog included in the TV search, user interface improvements, an integrated FaceTime camera, and Apple Intelligence for TV recommendations.
