InvincibleAmazonWell, normally we would be watching a new episode of Invincible this week, but after an all-time great season 3 finale a week ago, weve got nothing (except the Severance finale tonight).Amazon believes this is the perfect time to announce what we all knew was coming, Invincible is not just returning for season 4 (announced this past July) but its now confirmed it will be out in a specific year. With that announcement comes a lot of new information, including strong clues about its release date. The announcement says that Invincible will be out some time in 2026. That correlates with Robert Kirkman saying he wants to aim for the gap to be the length between seasons 2 and 3, not the much longer 1 and 2. If thats true, Season 2 ended on April 4, 2024, and season 3 began on February 6, 2025, which is actually less than a year, nine months, to be precise. So if its 2026 in theory, that could be as early as January, given that this season just ended in mid-March.Second, its been announced that voicework is already done for season 4. Voicework was indeed done for season 3 well before release, as its animation that takes the longest, but in this case, this means voicework is done just as season 3 ended, or even before, giving more evidence for a speedy pace. All in all, at most, this seems like its going to be a year or so until season 4 is live.Related to voice acting, famed Viltrumite villain who will appear in season 4, Thragg, has already been cast, no doubt by some sort of big celebrity as I mean, youd expect nothing else from this show. It would be sort of funny if Kirkman finally convinced Bryan Cranston, the only actor who has ever turned him down, to finally do it, but who knows. It could be someone Kirkman pulls from The Walking Dead like he has for Steven Yeun and now Jeffrey Dean Morgan who was Conquest. Andrew Lincoln Thragg? Norman Reedus Thragg? Who knows. Do not Google him, even looking at him is a spoiler. The announcement says the season will likely feature a new storyline about Darkblood, teased in the post-credits scene but something that isnt actually in the comics, meaning that for once, those readers wouldnt be ahead of show-watchers. Given the tease, its almost certainly going to happen. And I mean, voicework is done, right? So, all good news here, and no massive wait for season 4. Looking forward to it.Follow me , and .Pick up my sci-fi novels the and
