This prototype AirPods case has a unique look should totally exist
If I could snap my fingers and make AirPods in any color, we’d have AirPods in black by now. My second choice? Translucent AirPods. Apple sells a version of “Transparent” colored Beats Studio Buds + that I should probably own just to support the clear product cause. AirPods, of course, only come in white with the exception of the AirPods Max line. Here’s how the “Transparent” Beats earbuds look: Beats, which Apple owns, always hits it out of the park when it comes to color. There’s even a “Transparent Red” version of their $59 Beats Solo Buds! A few years ago, we saw a version of prototype AirPods earbuds that had a white and transparent dark blue design: Make a version of AirPods Pro 2 in that color, Apple, and I’ll buy what would probably be my fifth set by now. Note to self: apply whatever that coating is on Nintendo Switch game cartridges that makes kids not want to eat them to my next pair of AirPods. My dog Nova is a lovely girl, but AirPods get chewed up around her when I fall asleep with one in my ear. Maybe she just wants to see what’s inside like the rest of us transparent fans. Where were we? Oh yeah, the latest transparent prototype AirPods. The X account @LusiRoy8 posted these shots of an alleged EVT (engineering validation test) prototype AirPods charging case with a transparent style. Insert drooling face emoji… and heart eyes emoji… but also crying face emoji over the fact that these don’t exist outside of the lab. All too relatable, @Krishell1985, all too relatable. Would you fork over your hard earned Apple Pay Cash for a pair of transparent AirPods as fast as I would? Petition Apple for colors, transparent included, below in the comments.
